WWE NXT Results – 11/11/2020 (3 Championship matches, New Champion crowned)

This week’s WWE NXT Episode kicks off with a short video in honor of Veteran’s Day. NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano is in the ring to spin the wheel.

Leon Ruff def. Johnny Gargano (New NXT North American Champion)

New NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff

He is looking for an opponent to defend his title against. The wheel is clearly rigged. It stops on Leon Ruff. Gargano is looking for a clean dominant win over Ruff. As the match begins, Ruff takes an awkward fall while fixing his ring gear. Gargano is clearly dominating the match, as he throws Ruff outside the ring.

Damien Priest shows up on the other side of the barricades, as Gargano runs away in fear. Ruff gets a crucifix pin as he becomes the new NXT North American Champion. Priest is laughing near the barricades. After the match Priest gives his car keys to Ruff to run away with the Championship. He leaves.

Gargano comes running and argues with William Regal that the match wasn’t sanctioned. HE says that the wheel was rigged and was meant to be a joke. Regal says there is nothing that he can do and leaves.

Santos Escobar def. Jake Atlas (retains NXT Cruiserweight Championship)

Escobar starts dominating the match from the beginning. He follows a series of elbows with a submission and a series of chops. Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde tried to interfere in the match. But Atlas took them down with his lead pipe.

The referee bans the duo from the ringside. Atlas back in the ring attacks Escobar viciously. He gets multiple near-falls. Atlas hits a Death Valley Driver, as Escobar counters it with a Facebuster for a win. Escobar retains his Cruiserweight Championship.

Raquel Gonzalez vs Xia Li (No Contest)

Raquel Gonzalez and Xia Li are scheduled for a match. But Boa comes out instead of Li to mention that Li isn’t present. Gonzalez is angry due to the match being cancelled. She kicks Boa and pushes him into the barricades. She hits her finisher and leaves.

Boa and the Old man

The lights in the arena start dimming. A dragon appears on screen and starts circling around the screens inside the arena. An old man comes out with a letter. He touches Boa’s hands, putting a mark onto it.

Candice LeRae def. Toni Storm

Shotzi Blackheart in a backstage interview mentions that the tank was more than a prop. It represented her and her family in the military. Candice LeRae destroyed Blackheart’s tank last week on NXT.

The match begins with LeRae taking charge of the match. She is in a complete attack mode. The action continues outside the ring as well, with both trying to push the other one onto the steel steps. Back in the ring, Storm attacks with a German Suplex, hit strike and a knee attack followed by a Fisherman’s Suplex.

Candice gets a three-count with both her feet on the ropes. The referee didn’t notice, as Candice picks up the win. The masked attacker from Halloween Havoc shows up. So does Shotzi Blackheart. Masked attacker and Candice LeRae take out Storm and Shotzi. The masked person reveals herself, it is Indie Hartwell.

Timothy Thatcher def. Dexter Lumis

Lumis starts off strong. Thatcher leaves the ring to regroup. He gets back in the ring and attacks the ankles of Lumis. The action goes outside the ring after some back-and-forth blows. Thatcher pushes Lumis into the ring-post. Cameron Grimes shows up at the ringside. Lumis is distracted as Thatcher rolls him up for the win.

Grimes attacks Lumis after the match, and puts a bag over his head, blinding him. He hits with a steel chair to take Lumis out.    

Tommaso Ciampa is backstage cutting a promo. He says everyone backstage thinks they are tough. Those that complain are getting rewarded. He will change the 2020 Locker Room culture.

Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan def. Breezango (retains NXT Tag team Championship)

As the match begins, the actions goes outside the ring. Pat McAfee and Pete Dunne are standing at the ringside. Breezango hit a double kick on Burch and threw him onto McAfee and Dunne. Drake Maverick comes in and takes out McAfee and Lorcan. McAfee distracts the referee as Burch takes out Breeze. Lorcan gets a pin on Fandango as they retain their titles.

Drake Maverick attacks the 4 but is immediately taken out. He is thrown onto the announce table. Breeazango try to help but they meet the same fate. McAfee hits a punt kick on Breeze as the show ends.
