WWE NXT Results – 28/10/2020 (Halloween Havoc, Spin The Wheel, Make the Deal)

The show kicks off with Shotzi Blackheart on the stage, right next to the wheel. She will hosting tonight. North American Champion Damian Priest and Johnny Gargano are in the ring. Shotzi spins the wheel and makes the deal. It is going to be Devil’s Playground Match.

New North American Champion Johnny Gargano def. Damian Priest (Devil’s Playground Match)

The match started on a slow note, but as the action got out of the ring, it started picking up pace. As soon as they were outside the squared circle, they used steel steps, kendo sticks and even night sticks to their advantage.

One of the highlights of the match was them brawling over the Halloween decorations. One of the coffins opened up and a skeleton showed up scaring Gargano. They continue to fight in the backstage area. Gargano sprays the fire extinguisher and pushes Priest into the garage door. He dumps garbage all over him and puts the trashcan over his head. He follows it with an attack from a trash can.

Towards the end of the match Priest gets some momentum and is about to go for a finisher move when a masked man appears. The Scream mask wearing man attacks him with a steel pipe. The man hands a tombstone to Gargano. Gargano knocks off Priest and covers for the win.

NXT Tag Team Champions segment

NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch are in the ring with Pat McAfee. McAfee says that Halloween Havoc is the greatest night for NXT after TakeOver XXX. He reasons it with saying that it was his debut.  McAfee got Ridge Holland to take Cole out at TakeOver 31, as he himself is too busy. Then Lorcan and Burch, after losing against Undisputed Era, came to him, and now they are Champions!

Kyle O’Reilly makes his way to the ring, Pete Dunne is following him with a steel chair. Both of them scare away the 3 wrestlers who were in the ring. But Dunne turns on Reilly and attacks him with a chair. Lorcan, Burch and Dunne triple team on O’Reilly as McAfee looks on.

Santos Escobar def. Jake Atlas (Non-Title Match)

Escobar is accompanied by Legado Del Fantasma to the ring. The Cruiserweight Champion is dressed as Rey Mysterio. He continues to slap and completely dominates Atlas.

 Escobar is constantly taunting Atlas too. Atlas finally counters and knocks him down. A backbody drop on Atlas is followed by a flapjack, an uppercut and a German Suplex. Looks like he’ll get the pin but Del Fantasma puts Escobar’s leg on the ropes.

Raul Mendoza head-butts Atlas with the loaded cruiserweight mask. Escobar hits Atlas with a double-arm facebuster for the win.

Cameron Grimes vs Dexter Lumis (Haunted House of Terror Match)

A van drops Grimes in front of a house. Lumis is shown hiding in a tree. Grimes enters the house and goes in to a room. He sees the referee standing in a corner like The Blair Witch Project. Lumis attacks out of nowhere. But grimes pushes him through the glass and escapes.

Grimes then enters a bathroom and sees a girl. He gets closer and realizes it’s a Zombie girl. Lumis breaks through the wall and attacks him. They fight into the kitchen. Two more zombies are there.

Rhea Ripley def. Raquel Gonzalez

The match was filled with constant attacks and counter-attacks from both the wrestlers. Ripley goes to the ropes, but Gonzalez pulls her down by the hair. Gonzalez stomps away at her and goes for a suplex, but Ripley blocks it. Ripley gets out of the suplex and hits a short-arm clothesline, but Gonzalez doesn’t go down. Ripley hits a baseball slide and goes for a cannonball off the apron… but Gonzalez catches her.

Gonzalez starts dominating and lifts her, but Ripley counters into a head-scissor into the corner followed by a Riptide for the win!

Dexter Lumis def. Cameron Grimes (Haunted House Terror Match Part 2)

Cameron Grimes has returned to the CWC. He is near the ring. A graveyard is next to the ring, and zombies crawl out of it. Lumis and Grimes get in the ring and brawl. Zombies enter the ring and hold Lumis. Lumis press slams the zombies onto Grimes and applies Kata Gatame for the win. Dexter wins via Knockout. Lights go out as The End appears on screen.

Io Shirai def. Candice LeRae (NXT Women’s Championship Match – Tables, Ladders and Scares match)

Shotzi Blackheart spins the wheel again, it is going to be a Tables, Ladders and Scares match.

The main event was undoubtedly the highlight of the night. The match begun with Shirai, getting out of the ring and hitting a suicide dive. The Championship is hanging above the ring. LeRae pulls out a table, which has bloodied rubber limbs on it. Shirai uses them to attack.

All of a sudden, the masked superstar that helped Johnny Gargano earlier tonight runs down. The masked person puts LeRae on the ladder. Shotzi Blackheart runs in and slams the person. LeRae tries to reach, but Shirai grabs another ladder, sets it up, and climbs. LeRae knocks her off the ladder and reaches for the title. Shirai then pushes LeRae off the top of the ladder through the ladder bridge.

Shirai climbs and retains, as the show comes to an end.
