Last weekend’s No Mercy PLE took a giant leap into bolstering the NXT women’s division. Shortly after Roxanne Perez retained her NXT Women’s Championship against Jaida Parker, the lights went out. It was just a prelude to one of the greatest debuts the brand has ever seen. Former NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Giulia emerged at the Ball Arena in Denver.

She’d then go on to meet Perez in the ring as they kept staring at each other for a while. As obvious as it was that Giulia was next in line to challenge Roxanne for the title, the question screamed when. As per Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, these women are expected to take centerstage on the CW premiere of NXT, slated for October 1. The report also added that Perez vs. Giulia has been WWE’s goal since April.

Moreover, Giulia has been locked in by WWE on a long-term deal. However, the duration of her stay on NXT would be determined by how quickly she adapts to the American style of wrestling. Which, for case in point, is a relatively toned-down version of what the 30-year-old is accustomed to, as she has majorly wrestled in Japan.

The real-life Gloria Matsudo is going to be presented as one of NXT’s top stars in preparation for the brand’s switch to the CW Network. The Beautiful Madness received a rapturous welcome by the NXT Universe at Stand & Deliver back during the WrestleMania XL weekend.

She, alongside Rossy Ogawa and William Regal, was planted in the crowd near ringside. When the camera was on her, Matsudo seemed palpably awestruck, lost in a sea of crowd going bonkers for her introduction. She even posed with WWE CCO Triple H backstage to confirm her signing at that point.

Giulia made her first WWE NXT appearance this week

This week on NXT, the reigning champion Roxanne Perez came out to address Giulia’s WWE debut at No Mercy. However, out of everyone, Chelsea Green interrupted The Prodigy. She toyed with the emotions of the fans at the Performance Center, the entirety of which was expecting the arrival of Giulia.

The Beautiful Madness eventually made her way out to a deafening ovation. She went right after Chelsea, who paid the price for trash-talking. The Hot Mess was out of sorts and appeared as if she knew she messed it up.

Green endured a right hand from the English-Italian wrestler, who followed up the jab with a knee to the face. At last, Giulia picked up the mic and challenged Perez for the gold for NXT’s debut on the CW Network.
