With WrestleMania 42 within touching distance, WWE has placed its foot on the gas pedal in terms of letting the Mania-bound storylines play out on TV. The card might’ve just found out its celebrity match for the year, with Jelly Roll reportedly set to wrestle his second-overall match in the company at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’.
BodySlam has reported that the Grammy-nominated singer has been a point of discussion within WWE to have a tag team match at WrestleMania. He’s scheduled to partner with Royce Keys, who hasn’t made a single appearance on either Raw or SmackDown even after making his WWE in-ring debut in the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match.

It seems like Keys would arrive to the aid of Jelly Roll, who was a guest on Miz TV on this week’s SmackDown. The singer-rapper berated Miz for trying to steal credit for Roll’s redemption story. After having heard enough, ‘The A-Lister’ said he liked the country music artist more when he was fat. Roll said he’d beat Miz up regardless of his body shape.
Kit Wilson made his way out and asked the former WWE Champion to stop wasting time on Jelly Roll. The English wrestler went off on the Nashville-born singer for having those face tattoos, previous criminal charges, and building his brand on bad behavior. The former Pretty Deadly member called Roll fatphobic after claiming that he ran away from his true self. Wilson ultimately labeled the 41-year-old artist toxic.
He also shoved Roll away and got held back by The Miz for a bit. Roll aimed to get his lick back on Wilson but ended up punching Miz in the face as Wilson moved out of harm’s way in time. WWE has already announced that Kit Wilson will call out Jelly Roll on next week’s SmackDown.
The singer-rapper is expected to be outnumbered, with Wilson and Miz on the same page momentarily. It could then lead to the erstwhile Powerhouse Hobbs to make the save for Roll. The aforementioned report from BodySlam noted that the rationale behind pairing Royce Keys with Jelly Roll has to do with both of them overcoming hardships in their lives.
WWE reportedly wants Finn Balor to channel ‘The Demon’ against Dominik Mysterio
On Raw this past Monday, the entire Judgment Day faction turned on Finn Balor. The latter has had enough of trying to steer Dominik Mysterio in the right direction, and it led to Balor calling Mysterio a spoiled little prick. It prompted ‘Dom’ to shove Balor away, who retorted with the Pele kick. ‘The Prince’, however, sustained a brutal beatdown, with JD McDonagh choosing to side with the Judgment Day.

That 4-on-1 assault on the Irishman was months in the making. Dave Meltzer wrote in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE initially planned on having ‘The Demon’ Finn Balor take on Dominik Mysterio at last year’s SummerSlam. But the decision to hold it off was made after analyzing that the Judgment Day was still over with the fans as an act.
They delayed the story because everyone kept getting injured. And yes they want Finn to be Demon Bálor against Dom https://t.co/AjjeJFKO6j

Cory Hays of BodySlam quoted a reply to the aggregation of that report by stating that Balor vs. Mysterio was postponed due to Liv Morgan getting injured and that injury bug eventually caught every other member excluding Raquel Rodriguez.
Hays added that WWE still wants Balor’s alter ego to oppose the AAA Mega Champion, quite likely at WrestleMania 42. Balor was part of the Judgment Day for 1,372 days. But it was high time he turned back into a babyface. The fans are now anticipating a world title redemption story for Balor post-WrestleMania.
