“Wish he was still here”: Randy Orton’s heartfelt message for AEW star
Orton and Bryan
Randy Orton is one of the most successful Superstars on the WWE roster. He is a 14-time WWE World Champion – and is right behind John Cena and Ric Flair who’ve won the titles 16 times in their respective careers. He is a third generation professional wrestler and is one of the most loved Superstars on the roster today.
Orton has been a Heel for a major part of his career and has impressed the WWE Universe with his characters such as the Legend Killer and the Viper. Surprisingly, last year, Orton turned babyface after really long time, and formed a Tag Team with Riddle. RK-Bro currently hold the Raw Tag Team Championship.
In a career that spans over two decades, Randy Orton currently holds the record for the highest number of televised matches on Monday Night RAW and also the highest number of matches on the WWE pay per views. Throughout his career, he has practically faced every Superstar in the company.
Randy Orton recently appeared for an interview with Out of Character podcast with Ryan Satin. On the podcast he discussed about his legacy, and even mentioned that he missed Daniel Bryan and hoped that he hadn’t moved to All Elite Wrestling.
“I want my legacy to be that I made sure that the guys like Edge, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles, and god I miss Daniel Bryan and wish he was still here, but these guys, Finn Balor, Damien Priest, Austin Theory, Street Profits, Riddle especially, these guys that have all the potential in the world, Roman Reigns as well. These guys that can work and they know the art of this business and I want my legacy to be that I was able to, with these gentlemen, take this business to the next generation and ensure that that new wave of talent knows how to do it the right way,” mentioned the Legend Killer.
Randy Orton could break the top Championship record
The Viper is just two reigns away from breaking the record for the most number of World Championship reigns – currently held by Cena and Flair. Although he is currently 42 years old, Randy Orton wants to continue performing on WWE for another decade.
But currently he is occupied in the Tag Team division – holding the Raw Tag Team Championship. He is really enjoying his time on RK-Bro. The company has often planned on breaking them up but the Legend Killer has himself as often insisted on continuing. Considering the break up will be coming later this year – we could well see the 15th reign coming soon.
