WWE Raw hour 3 draws lowest rating ever
WWE Raw’s viewership is on a constant decline. The Red brand’s viewership and TV rating were even lower than the ratings from previous weeks. As per reports from Showbuzz Daily, the average viewership on WWE Raw was 1.656 million viewers, which was down by 4.4 percent since the previous episode. The Raw episode from last week had garnered an average viewership of 1.732 million.
Further, reports from F4WOnline said that the hour 3 of the Raw episode had a viewership of 1.455 million. This is the lowest viewership since the Red brand adopted the 3 hour format. This is a clear indicator that WWE is failing to come up with segments that generate interests among the WWE Universe.
The first hour of the show had 1.767 million viewers. While the second hour had a viewership of 1.747 million. If these numbers weren’t worrisome enough for WWE, there is more. WWE Raw even took a hit on its TV ratings. Their score on key demographic of 18-49 was down from 0.51 to 0.49. a possibility for this drastic downfall could be the NFL game between the Buccaneers and the Giants. The game topped in TV ratings, for the 18-49 demographic, while WWE Raw was on the ninth spot.
What happened on WWE Raw?
This week’s Raw episode wasn’t as bad as the ratings denote. There were some really interesting segments. The show’s opening and end had WWE Champion Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre and MITB briefcase holder The Miz involved. The main event of the night was McIntyre taking on The Miz and Morrison in a 2-on-1 handicap match. A possibility, for the viewer not sticking around for the match, could be the predictability of the result. McIntyre won the match as The Viper attacked him with an RKO out of nowhere. The Fiend’s laugh was heard as the show ended.
Another interesting segment was involving Team Raw, for Survivor Series. It involved Braun Strowman, Keith Lee, Sheamus and AJ Styles. Styles provided comic relief to the segment with his goofiness. Raw also had the Firefly Fun House segment with Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss. These segments, now with the addition of Bliss, just keep getting better and better.
But, there were some uninteresting and dragging moments too with the Women’s division segment and Retribution’s segment. Maybe the inconsistency of the show, and it being interesting in parts is driving away the viewership. While their counterpart, the Blue brand is going from strength to strength. It would be interesting to see how WWE, attracts their fans back.
