WWE Raw results – 11/01/2021 (Randy Orton faces Triple H, United States Championship match)

The episode kicked off with a recap of last week. Randy Orton was seen verbally abusing multiple legends who had appeared.
Triple H – Randy Orton segment

WWE COO Triple H made his way to the ring, amid a thunderous applause from the virtual cloud. He welcomed everyone to the Thunderdome. Orton’s music cut him off. Orton said that “The Office” decided to show off because Drew McIntyre could not make it.
Orton was supposed to face McIntyre tonight, but McIntyre tested positive for Covid-19. He asks Triple H whether he is here to announce that he will be entering the Royal Rumble? Or was he there to hand over the WWE Championship to Orton.
Triple H mentioned that he enjoyed watching Orton throughout the year. He was really proud of Orton. But he couldn’t understand that how threatening and kicking legends benefits Orton. The Game feels Orton is no legend.
Orton said that he is in his peak. But does the Game still have it in him? Triple H said he wont give Orton the satisfaction of fighting him. Triple H starts leaving. Orton asked whether H is missing his balls. He hits a straight right hand to Orton. Orton takes it as a Yes.
Lacey Evans def. Charlotte Flair

Flair gets the upper hand early in the match, as she shoves Evans into the corner. Evans was frustrated in the match as she wasn’t able to get any sort of momentum.
Suddenly, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair comes out. Charlotte is confused. He stands at the ringside. As Flair started dominating again, her father got inside the ring. Evans capitalized on the distraction and applies a Chin Lock.
But Flair fought back. She went for the pin, but Flair put Evans’ leg on the rope. Flair is furious. She goes for the suplex but Ric pulls his daughter’s foot. Evans goes for the cover, but Flair holds Charlotte’s foot down. Evans picks up the win.
Jaxson Ryker def. Jeff Hardy

Ryker had replaced Elias in the match. Earlier the match was advertised as Hardy and Elias “renewing hostilities”. As the match began, Elias distracted Hardy. Ryker rolled him up to pick up the win.
Hardy told Elias to face him. He says Elias is afraid that that Ryker is better than Elias. Elias accepted the challenge.
Jeff Hardy def. Elias

The match began with both the wrestlers attacking each other brutally. They hit multiple signature moves. Elias uppercut Hardy a couple of times. But Hardy fought back with a backslide. He hits a Twist of Fate followed by a Swanton Bomb for the win.
Sheamus and Keith Lee def. The Miz and John Morrison

Sheamus and Morrison started against each other. Soon Lee was tagged in and he completely cleared the ring. He knocked The Miz out of the ring and threw Morrison over the top rope. Sheamus followed it with a double clothesline.
Lee then avalanches Morrison into the corner. The top turnbuckle broke off, as the top rope goes down. The match continued as the ring crew repaired the turnbuckle. Lee and Sheamus continued their domination.
Sheamus blind tagged himself in, and Brogue Kicks Morrison for the win. Sheamus and Lee started shoving each other.
Keith Lee def. Sheamus

The action went outside the ring in this match. Sheamus leaped off the apron but Lee caught him mid-air. He hit a belly-to-belly suplex in the timekeeper’s area. Sheamus almost got counted out.
As they got back in the ring. Sheamus continued to attack. He hit his knee to Lee’s face. Lee hit a Spirit Bomb to pick up the win. Lee went for a fist bump. Sheamus swatted it away and embraced him.
Drew McIntyre accepted Goldberg’s challenge via a video segment. He will be facing Goldber at the Royal Rumble for the WWE Championship.
T-Bar def. Xavier Woods

The commentators mentioned that Kofi Kingston has a broken jaw. There were some classic back-and-forth wrestling moves. But T-Bar continued to attack Woods’ shoulder. Woods was able to fight off Mustafa Ali.
But T-Bar attacked his arm and hit Eyes Wide Shut to pick up the win.
Bobby Lashley def. Riddle (retains WWE United States Championship)

While Riddle was making his entrance, Lashley attacks him from behind. Riddle told the referee that he would still continue with the match. Lashley punched brutally. Riddle’s mouth was busted. He failed to get any sort of momentum into the match.
Lashley applied the Hurt Lock as he Riddle tapped out. Lashley retained his United States Championship.
Riddle def. MVP

After his match with Lashley, Riddle mentioned that he can defeat MVP. MVP is dressed in a suit but accepted the challenge. Riddle hit a pair of running forearms. He even hit Lashley with a running kick during the match.
Riddle hit MVP with a Floating Bro. Lashley speared Riddle immediately. Riddle won via disqualification. They double team on Riddle. He is too beaten as he screams in pain.
AJ Styles def. Drew Gulak

Drew Gulak wanted to enter the Royal Rumble 2020. But Adam Pearce said he had to earn the spot. Gulak needed to defeat Styles to enter the Royal Rumble.
Gulak tried to boot Styles. But Styles caught it and flipped Gulak over top rope. As Gulak fell outside the ring, he got scared of Omos’ boot. Styles hits a Phenomenal Forearm for the win.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler def. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke

The Tag team Champions double team on Dana Brooke. Rose got tagged in and ran over Baszler. But Jax avalanches both, Rose and Brooke. Baszler blind tagged in and applied the Kirifuda Clutch. Rose tapped out.
Triple H vs. Randy Orton

The Game punched away at Orton while he was entering in the ring. They brawl at the ringside as H pushes Orton into the steel steps. Triple H even hit a back Suplex on Orton onto the commentary table.
He takes out his sledgehammer. The lights start going out. H’s sledgehammer is on fire. The lights went completely out again. They came back on. Triple H is gone. Alexa Bliss is standing at the corner of the ring.
Bliss held up the PAIN glove and shot a fireball into Orton’s eyes. He yells in pain and held his face, as the show ended.
