WWE Raw results – 16/11/2020 (WWE Championship match, Tag Team Championship match)


We are live in the WWE Thunderdome. WWE Champion Randy Orton will be defending his title against Drew McIntyre tonight. The Raw Tag Team Championships will be on the line too.
Drew McIntyre’s segment

McIntyre walks down to the ring. He mentions that he loves Thanksgiving. McIntyre is thankful to his friends and family. He is thankful to the WWE Universe. He thanks his haters. McIntyre mentions that tonight he will Claymore Kick Orton and win his WWE Championship. Then he will Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Survivor Series and humble him down.
WWE Champion Randy Orton appears on the big screen. Orton mentions that he too is thankful. He is thankful for being a 14-time World Champion. He is also thankful for being fined by WWE for attacking WWE official Adam Pearce. Orton mentions he has been fined for 20 years. No other WWE Superstar has been fined or suspended as much as him. Orton will prove he is still the greatest wrestler ever, when he beats McIntyre again.
The Miz and John Morrison come out to the stage. McIntyre talks about his show. He talks about the present and the future unlike McIntyre and Orton. He says they have got the front row seats for the Championship match tonight. McIntyre warns him against interfering in the match. Miz mentions The Fiend is missing tonight, but there will be change tonight.
Asuka, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke def. Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler and Lana

Before the match Lana is warming up backstage. Lana mentions to her partners for tonight that she won’t avoid tagging in like Randy Orton. The Raw Women’s Tag Team Champions warn her to not tag in.
Lana starts the match,but is immediately blind tagged in by Shayna Baszler. Baszler and Jax are shouting on Lana. As the match progresses, Lana blind tags Baszler. Baszler is infuriated. Lana kicks Asuka and goes for a cover. But Jax and Baszler order her to tag them in. Asuka puts Lana in an Asuka Lock for the win. As the tradition goes, Jax grabs Lana and gives her Samoan Drop through the commentary table. This is the 9th time in the last few weeks.
Post the match, Brooke is waiting outside the trainer’s room. Mandy Rose is being assessed. Reckoning attacks Brooke and hits her with a Stomp through the crate. Adam Pearce informs that Rose and Brooke will not be able to compete at Survivor Series. Lace Evans and Peyton Royce will be replacing them.
Firefly Fun House

Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss are inside the Firefly Fun House. Bray Wyatt says The Miz needs to pay attention or he will get on Wyatt’s bad side. Wyatt then does some karate and also a spelling bee. He spells a jacka** as M-I-Z. He says he will see The Miz later.
The New Day def. The Hurt Business (retains Raw Tag Team Championship)

The Hurt Business is in the ring. MVP says US Champion Bobby Lashley will completely destroy Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn at Survivor Series. Tonight, Alexander and Benjamin will win the Raw Tag team titles. Then they too will destroy the Smackdown Champions The Street Profits on Survivor Series. The New Day interrupts them, and tells them to stop spreading false news. They call them The Jerk Business.
It was a really entertaining and action packed match. All the four wrestlers came out looking strong from the match. Kingston got out of a Lumbar Check with a flip. He kicks Alexander and then a Trouble in Paradise for Benjamin. The New Day hits a Daybreak to retain their Titles.
Retribution def. Team Raw

The Raw Men’s team is involved in an argument backstage. Their self-proclaimed captain AJ Styles has an idea. He suggests that the team should face Retribution as all of them hate the group. Mustafa Ali says he hopes Styles is ready to go down with his ship of Team Raw.
Retribution is represented by Mustafa Ali, Slapjack, Mace and T-Bar. Braun Strowman, Keith Lee, Riddle and Sheamus are representing Team Raw. Captain AJ Styles is on commentary. The macth was filled with attacks and counter-attacks. Ali hit a suicide dive on Lee to get a near fall. Strowman interrupts. Slapjack runs to counter Strowman. Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick that turns Slapjack inside out.
Then Team Raw goes down as every member tries to bling tag themselves in. They all start arguing, as Ali rolls up Riddle for the win. This is Retribution’s first win as a group.
Bray Wyatt def. The Miz

Miz is in the ring with John Morrison. He recalls how Wyatt had sent a demonic doll to her one year old daughter. Today The Miz said things that he shouldn’t have said. Although one is worse than the other, The Miz wants a peaceful solution. He wants to call off their match.
Alexa Bliss’ music hits. Bliss comes out and says that Wyatt says no. Nikki Cross walks out. She tries to explain to Bliss that Wyatt is bad news. Bliss says she is right before slapping Cross. They start brawling. Wyatt walks out. He walks hand-in-hand with Bliss towards the ring.
Wyatt offers his hand to Miz, but he kicks away. The Miz tries to attack as much as possible, but Wyatt is clearly dominating. Morrison tries to attack but Bliss scares him away. The Miz goes for a corner clothesline, but Wyatt hits a Sister Abigail for the win.
Drew McIntyre def. Randy Orton (New WWE Champion)

Sheamus stops McIntyre backstage. He discusses teaming up again with McIntyre and shows him a chest. McIntyre finds his old kilt and jacket inside the storage chest. Sheamus presents him with a sword. McIntyre is moved by the gesture. Orton mentions before the match that he has too many distractions.
McIntyre makes his way to the ring. He is wearing his old attire, which Sheamus gave. He sticks the sword into the stage as pyrotechnics go off. Both the wrestlers start hitting their signature moves right from the beginning. McIntyre hits a Glasgow Kiss to take down McIntyre.
Orton grabs his Championship and starts to walk off. Adam Pearce walks out. He informs Orton that there is no Count-out or disqualification in the match. Orton is infuriated. Orton grabs the steel chair and starts attacking McIntyre’s injured jaw. They exchange multiple back suplexes on the commentary table. Orton lets out a loud groan. He is prepared to hit an RKO but McIntyre pushes him off followed by a Claymore Kick for the win.
Easily this is one of the best matches on WWE this year. They’ve been trying hard to revive their ratings, and this match just might have revived them. McIntyre grabs the Championship and shouts to Reigns to be prepared. He shouts this is the fans’ moment as the show ends.
