WWE Raw Results – 19/10/2020 (Season Premiere, Raw Women’s Championship Match)

It is the season premiere of Raw. The show kicks off with a brand new intro. We go live into the WWE ThunderDome.

The lights go red, Alexa Bliss is in the ring. She says, “Monday Night Raw… he’s here! Let. Him. In.” The Fiend walks in and joins hands with Bliss. Retribution, led by Mustafa Ali, walk in. They try to attack The Fiend and Bliss, but lights go out and they disappear. The Hurt Business walk in and attack Retribution immediately.

The Hurt Business def. Retribution

This is an 8-man Tag Team Match. Mustafa Ali, T-Bar, Mace and Slapjack are representing the Retribution. The Hurt Business consists of WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.

While the match is progressing, The Fiend’s scream is heard and he appears on the big screen. T-bar tries to hit an elbow to Lashley. He countered it with a Hurt Lock. The Hurt Business won by submission.

The lights go out, and The Fiend is back. He gives a Sister Abigail to Slapjack. Slams Mace on the commentary table. He starts chasing Ali, but T-Bar boots The Fiend. The Fiend hits a Sister Abigail, after applying Mandible Claw on T-Bar. Alexa Bliss is on the big screen. She says, “Let me in.”

AJ Styles def. Matt Riddle

AJ Styles walks down to the ring with Jordan Omogbehin. He is bragging that how he has proven that there was never a Monday Night Messiah. Styles is the true leader. He prove that by beating him and Jeff Hardy in the triple-threat match, last week on Raw.

As Matt Riddle enters the ring, Omogbehin is having an argument with the refree. He isn’t ready to leave the ring. Riddle is clearly scared of Omogbehin. He froze just by looking at Jordan, allowing Styles to hit a Styles Clash for the win. Jordan was an acting bodyguard for Raw Underground, which hasn’t been shown since the last episode.

Drew McIntyre interview

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is backstage, giving an interview. He is dressed in all black. McIntyre is scheduled to face Randy Orton for the Championship at Hell in a Cell on 25th October. McIntyre had promised to make Orton’s life hell till they meet at the PPV.

Charly Caruso mentions that this is McIntyre’s first time at Hell in a Cell, whereas Orton had been there numerous times. He agrees that this is Orton’s strong zone. The Viper thrives in environments where pain is guaranteed. But McIntyre is ready to go through him again to keep his Championship. He mentions that he’s dressed in all black for a funeral. 

Raw Women’s Championship: Asuka def. Lana

Asuka dominates this short match right from the beginning. She applies the Asuka Lock, but Lana gets hold of the rope. She tried attacking, only to be held up again in the Asuka Lock. Lana submits and Asuka retains her title

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler walk out and attack Asuka and Lana. Jax gives a Samoan Drop to Lana on the commentary table.

Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler def. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans & Peyton Royce and The Riott Squad.

Jax and Baszler discuss how they own the Championship. They challenge anyone who thinks they are wrong. The 3 tag teams walk out to refute the claims made by the Champions. In this match, only two teams are allowed in the ring at a time. There wasn’t much action in this match. Jax hits a Samoan Drop on Lacey Evans, and rolls her up for the win.

Elias’ concert

With his guitar and the band, Elias is on the ramp. He greets the virtual fans at Thunderdome. ‘Universal Truth’, his upcoming album will be dropping next week. He sings a medley of the album songs. He thanks his band and the virtual fans. “I love none of you”, he says, earning boos from the virtual crowd.

There is a loud strum in the background, which annoys Elias. It’s Jeff Hardy. Hardy swings the guitar, but he ducks. 

Elias is furious. He challenges Hardy at Hell in a Cell.

Kofi Kingston def. Sheamus

Kingston walks down the ring with his Raw Tag Team partner Xavier Woods. Kofi mentions that they’ve been a tag team since the last 4 years. But they’ve become Raw Tag Team Champions just recently. Woods complains that how they’ve been out with injuries, and even been separated from Big E.

Sheamus walks in says how without Big E, they are more vulnerable now. It was a good match, with lots of action. Kingston countered Irish Curse Backbreaker with a crucifix. He followed it up with a Trouble in Paradise, for the win.

Tucker and El Gran Gordo (Otis) def. The Miz and John Morrison

Miz and Morrison are in the ring. Tucker is standing on the ramp. Curiously, The Miz asks who will fill Otis’ shoes, now that he has been drafted to Smackdown. Tucker says that he has found one of the best Luchador to be his partner – El Gran Gordo. It is Otis in pink mask and pink shorts. Miz says he looks he like he has eaten the Lucha House Party. Tucker and Gordo charge towards the ring and attack.

Otis hits a Vader Bomb followed by a Caterpillar on Miz for the win. They are hinting that the Miz might steal Otis’ Money in the Bank briefcase, and earn a shot at the title.

Firefly Fun House

Bray Wyatt says that he is sad that he had to leave his friends at Smackdown. At the same time, he is also excited to make new ones at Raw. That has started well. Ramblin’ Rabbit mentions that The Fiend is now married too. Alexa Bliss joins him and mentions that the fun has just begun.

Braun Strowman def. Keith Lee

Braun Strowman is still injured from his match with Roman Reigns. Keith Lee tries to capitalize by attacking Strowman’s ribs. Strowman low blowed Lee with his head. He then big boots him for the win.

After the match Lee low blows Strowman. He warns Strowman that he messed with the wrong guy.

Randy Orton’s message from Hell

Orton is the No.1 Contender for the WWE Championship. He faces Drew McIntyre at Hell in a Cell. Orton locks himself in the Cell and takes a seat in the middle of the ring. He recalls how he’s been in this cell 7 times in his career. 2 of those times he had won the Championship. McIntyre walks out. But he is locked outside the cage. He takes bolts cutters to open the cell. Orton takes the chair and is ready to attack. The show ends.

Hell in a Cell airs this Sunday, 25^th October 2020.
