WWE has brought back the iconic Saturday Night’s Main Event show after nearly sixteen years. The promotion is planning to create a spectacular return for the show. WWE is featuring some huge names from the industry. One of the celebrities scheduled to appear at the event could also include Hulk Hogan.
According to a report by WrestleVotes Radio, WWE has had conversations with several legends regarding an appearance at Saturday Night’s Main Event. One of the names being discussed for the show is Hogan, who shares a deep history with the particular show.
Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on December 14th at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, NY. This was the exact same arena where the first episode of the show took place nearly forty years ago. This inaugural episode featured a WWF Championship match between ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton and Hulk Hogan himself.

Jimmy Hart is reportedly already scheduled for the event. Given that he is a close friend of Hogan, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to see the former WWE Champion follow suit as well. With WWE going for more of a retro feel for the event, the Hulkster sure is a great choice.
Wrestling fans get mad over Hulk Hogan potentially appearing at Saturday Night’s Main Event
Not everyone was so enthusiastic about Hulk Hogan making an appearance in WWE. Many netizens told the Hulkster to stay away from WWE and let the product breathe without the involvement of more such controversy. He has been under fire recently for his racist remarks toward Kamala Harris after he became an advocate for Donald Trump in the 2024 US presidential race.
Many fans started demanding other and less controversial legends of the industry to appear. These demands included ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Dave Bautista, or Bret Hart. Some social media users also wanted more diversity with these appearances, especially female wrestlers. While Wendy Richter is in discussions to appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event, more female inclusion would be appreciated.

Bring in Stone Cold!

I grew up watching Hogan, was a huge fan, but have no reason to want to see him on any of the shows in 2024.

It adds nothing but nostalgia we've had numerous times with him in the past. It's filler, nothing more.
Am I the only one excited about Hulk Hogan? He’s a fucking legend. One of the greatest to ever step in the ring. Separate art from the artist, I want him back as the wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, not the person who has all the controversy surrounding him.

I get excited every time…
This makes perfect sense. Hogan was at his peak during Saturday Night Main Events back in the day and helped launch the initial run of this program.

Sad we no longer have Piper or Mean Gene around to provide color commentary.
However, not everyone was so upset by this news. A fan argued to separate the performer from his personal life. Hogan is surely a nice addition of nostalgia, especially since he is synonymous with the show.
