Ronda Rousey returned to the WWE ring following an almost 3 year hiatus at WWE Royal Rumble 2022. The Baddest Women on the Planet entered the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match at No. 28 and outlasted everyone including the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair to win the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Rousey made her Smackdown’s first appearance this week and made her presence felt by taking down Sonya Deville into an armbar. The Baddest Women on the Planet also announced the champion she would be facing at WWE WrestleMania 38. The Baddest Women on the Planet will be challenging the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38.
Flair, who was also present during the announcement, was not very shocked with the decision which the WWE already hinted after WWE Hall of Famer Lita challenged Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at Elimination Chamber. Now that the main event of one night of the most stupendous WrestleMania has been confirmed, the WWE Universe can expect weeks and weeks of attacks between the two top women of the wrestling industry.

Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair have met each other in a singles match before. The two battled each other in a champion vs champion match at Survivor Series 2018 for brand supremacy but the match didn’t have a clean ending. The match saw Charlotte Flair attack Rousey with a kendo stick and end the match in disqualification.
This was also followed by a triple threat winners take all match for both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championship as the main event of WrestleMania 35. Rousey and Flair battled Becky Lynch in a triple threat match which the Man won leaving the rivalry between Rousey and Flair unfinished. This makes it clear that the match between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair could be the end of the business between the two women.
