Sami Zayn tried to celebrate his Intercontinental championship victory on Friday Night Smackdown after Elimination Chamber 2022 and claimed that he wanted to be a fighting champion. This led to Zayn giving an open challenge to the roster when Jacka** Forever star Johnny Knoxville came out and challenged Zayn for a match at WrestleMania 38.
But eventually, Zayn lost the Intercontinental Championship to Ricochet, thanks to Johnny Knoxville, which led to Zayn challenging the Hollywood star for a match at the 38th edition of the Grandest Stage of them All. Knoxville accepted the challenge and was happy to get an opportunity to meet the master strategist face-to-face inside the ring.
Knoxville then started creating problems for Zayn which pi**ed off the former Intercontinental Champion. Knoxville got Zayn’s phone number been displayed on an airplane which led to Zayn getting phone calls every minute leading to him pleading to everyone on social media.

Zayn later challenged Johnny Knoxville to add the stipulation of ‘Anything goes’ to their match at WrestleMania which Knoxville accepted. This led to Zayn run to Knoxville’s city and talk to the locals there to know more about the Hollywood star and tried to find a weakness which could trouble him.
This week on Friday Night Smackdown, Sami Zayn entered in an interview and vowed to punish Knoxville in a way that has never been seen in WWE before. This has brought in a lot of people getting much more intrigued in the match between these two which could be one of the best matches at WrestleMania Sunday.
