“Born to be a WWE Superstar”: Sasha Banks opens up about her wrestling dreams
The Boss
Sasha Banks is one of the top performers on the WWE roster currently. Throughout the year, Banks was chasing a title and whenever she came close to winning one, Banks ended up being ruled out action due to an injury. Earlier this year, she had stepped up to the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. But before a proper rivalry could be built up between the two Superstars – Banks was once again injured during a live event.
In the build up to Wrestlemania, Sasha Banks associated herself with Naomi. While the singles division was filled with feuds, the Boss saw an opportunity in the Tag Team division. At the Showcase of Immortals, they went on to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship – thereby ending her Wrestlemania losing streak.
The Boss recently appeared for an interview on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast – rafter her intense match at Wrestlemania. During the podcast, she was asked about how she got into professional wrestling – to which Sasha Banks revealed that she knew at an early age that she wanted to be a WWE Superstar.
“I was born to be a WWE superstar, so it’s very natural for me because it’s everything that I’ve been watching since I was 10. When you’re 10 years, it’s like that’s when I first studied. That’s when I had my first training sessions, just watching film every single day knowing that my future was going to be in the ring one day. I absolutely knew that that was my calling. Sitting in my room, just watching WWE, it just clicked on. And then the lights just shine on you. Your mind just goes, ‘bing’, woah. This is your purpose. This is why you were on this earth,” mentioned Banks.
Sasha Banks was set to put her title on the line
Last week on Raw, Sasha Banks & Naomi collided in a Championship Contenders match with Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley. Although, the Championship managed to win the match – a title match was announced for this week’s episode.
But for some reason, the match was taken off the card for reasons unknown. During this feud, the Superstars even appeared on Smackdown, where Banks suffered a surprising loss. She ended up handing Liv Morgan, one of the biggest wins of her career.
