“Just want to make history”: Sasha Banks wants to main event a Saudi Arabia PPV
Banks
The last time The Boss was seen in a PPV main event, was way back at Wrestlemania 37. She had entered the event as the Smackdown Women’s Champion. It was a historic match, with Banks and Bianca Belair becoming the first Superstars to be a part of the Wrestlemania main event with two black women.
At the event, the EST of WWE pinned Sasha Banks to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. This kicked off Belair’s first reign as a Champion. Since then, The Boss had been after a title. After months of trying, she finally managed to end her Wrestlemania losing streak and get a title.
At Wrestlemania Sunday, Sasha Banks and Naomi emerged victorious in a Fatal 4 Way match and won the Women’s Tag Team Championship. In the latest interview with NBC Sports Boston’s 10 Count podcast, Banks mentioned that she would like to main event a PPV in Saudi Arabia with the Tag Team titles on the line.
“I just want to keep on shaking the table, I want to keep on making history. For myself, I would love to main event a PPV in Saudi. I would love for the Tag Team Women’s Championships to be represented over there in the main event. The main event of any PPV representing these, is just the goal of 2022. I think me and Naomi can accomplish that, for sure,” mentioned Banks.
Sasha Banks will put her title on the line on RAW
On the latest episode of RAW, Sasha Banks & Naomi were scheduled to put their Tag Team Titles on the line against Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan. But Ripley was not able to compete on the red brand due to some “protocol issues”.
It is quite unlikely that Banks and Naomi would lose their titles. Ripley is scheduled to feud against Morgan in the coming times. She’s also rumoured to join Edge’s stable which currently features Damian Priest.
