Sasha Banks, during the post Wrestlemania 35 period, was dealing with a dislocated shoulder injury that she sustained in January. In a conversation with The Athletic, she discussed the struggle and everything that came with it. She also discussed her despair at the time and asked for her WWE release, which WWE owner and chairman Vince McMahon refused. According to Banks, the experience caused her to realise she needed to take time off to figure out what she wanted to do with her life outside of the squared circle.

“I had a Make-A-Wish the next day and I couldn’t move, couldn’t put my clothes on, couldn’t do my hair,” Banks said. “Bayley had to come into my room and do that. I didn’t want to tell anybody. Those titles meant so much to me.”

“I felt so sad every day and I didn’t know why,” said Sasha. She further continued by saying “I had to take myself away from a situation and such a fast world where I had to stop and realize who Mercedes was and who Sasha Banks was. I had no time off. I never got to see myself, my family. I took that time to figure out what I loved besides wrestling.”

After starring in season two of the Star Wars series The Mandalorian, Sasha Banks would eventually find something to square off her wrestling vocation. On being asked if there is anything else she wants to do in the acting world, Banks stated she wants to be the female version of The Rock and John Cena. For now, her WWE run has been smooth and she is booked to be in the fatal 4-way match for the women’s tag team titles to be held at the most stupendous Wrestlemania of all time.
