Shane McMahon teams up with Vince’s rivals to relaunch WCW
Shane McMahon reportedly acquired World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from his father, sports-entertainment billionaire Vince McMahon, two decades ago, and business has just picked up!
Now that Vince and Shane have professionally parted ways, something looks to be cooking.
Shane McMahon is relaunching WCW
According to multiple backstage sources known by the names of Fightful and Meltzer, Shane McMahon has been ‘quietly let go’ from the organisation, and Vince has used the term ‘let go’ specifically. According to a senior member of the WWE creative team, the writers were told in a “semi-quiet way” that there would be no more intellectual conversations regarding Shane McMahon, and they have now moved on to other creative issues.
McMahon went from appearing in the Elimination Chamber and a championship match at WrestleMania to being ‘quietly’ sacked from the company in the course of a few days, reportedly because of his mishandling of the Men’s Royal Rumble event.
As reported by ‘Kayfabe news‘, Shane appears to have abruptly left his family’s enterprise following the recent contentious Royal Rumble pay-per-view Premier Event. Shane’s sources — who are reported to be known only as Kyle, Joey, and Rodney for the sake of secrecy — reported that the exiled heir-apparent to the McMahon family planned to replace his father by resurrecting Vince’s arch-nemesis, WCW.
Shane secretly bought WCW in 2001, much to his father’s annoyance (who didn’t read the fine print on the paperwork that identified which McMahon had bought the company), and he never legally surrendered primary ownership.
Shane O Mac has partnered with Vince’s rivals
Shane is apparently collaborating with some of his father’s most vehement foes, namely Ted Turner, Superstar Billy Graham, Nailz, H. H. Helmsley, and God, to add salt to injury.
Shane McMahon’s YouTube channel will debut the new WCW Monday Nitro coming Monday at 8 p.m. ET, live from the former Raw Underground set in the basement of his one-room cabin deep in the Connecticut woods.
However, as mentioned, this is Kayfabe news and is too good to be true. But the WWE Universe would go bonkers if this really happens and we can see that somewhere in the cards already. What are your thoughts?
