Randy Orton is set to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin. The two crossed paths once again during the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. However, the show went off the air abruptly for most viewers across the globe. Footage released after Raw ended has finally revealed what happened between these two superstars in Fort Lauderdale after the cameras stopped rolling.
WWE recently made a post on their social media accounts with exclusive post-show footage of Raw. In the video, the Apex Predator could be seen standing tall in the ring while holding the World Heavyweight Championship Belt in his hands. Meanwhile, The Ring General was lying outside the ring next to the barriers after being the victim of an RKO.
Orton raised the title with his arm and sent a message to the champion. He kissed the title belt and threw it outside the ring towards the 36-year-old. A match official picked up the belt and handed it to the Austrian, who started to walk up the ramp in defeat. The Ring General has taken a beating and an RKO from the wrestling veteran in the past as well. However, he still seemed unafraid of defending his title against him in Berlin.
During the opening segment of the show, Orton was blindsided by Ludwig Kaiser and got double-teamed by Imperium. This led to the Viper facing the German in the main event of the show. The wrestling legend eventually came out on top, winning with a pinfall after an RKO. Gunther slid into the ring but was cut off by the former WWE Champion. This led to them brawling as the show went off the air.
The feud between these two superstars has taken a highly personal turn over the past few weeks, with the champion even claiming that Orton’s father and grandfather were a failure. They will surely give their all in the ring when they clash in Berlin.
Randy Orton praises Cody Rhodes for “having the b*lls” to leave WWE
Cody Rhodes leaving the WWE in 2016 ultimately saved his career. As the American Nightmare likes to say, he went from undesirable to undeniable. Since returning to the company, he has become the promotion’s top babyface, he has won back-to-back Royal Rumbles and main-evented Wrestlemania two years in a row. This likely would not have been possible had he not taken a bet on himself.
Randy Orton recently joined the WWE Undisputed Champion on his show, ‘What Do You Wanna Talk About?’ During their conversation, he told Rhodes that he was extremely proud of him. It took a lot of guts for someone to leave a job with WWE. The Apex Predator even said that he could never have done what the 39-year-old did.
I'm so proud of you, dude. Legitimately so proud of you. When you left, the b*lls it took for you to leave and then, like, start from scratch kind of, but not. I mean, that's not the right way to say it, because you were Cody f*cking Rhodes, but to do what you did, I could never have done what you did, never, never. So, when I say I'm proud of you, like I legitimately mean itRandy Orton to Cody Rhodes
Orton also talked about how The Rock, one of the most recognized people in the world, recently made his return to professional wrestling. He wanted to play the babyface. However, even he couldn’t do so due to the immense popularity and fan support garnered by Cody Rhodes.
