Bad Blood witnessed a wild encounter between Gunther and Goldberg that took the wrestling community by storm. Following this heated face-off, there was speculation about a future showdown between the two stars. Amid the rumors, a new report has emerged that sheds light on the possible plans WWE has for the WCW icon.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE has planned something big for Goldberg at the next Saudi Arabian event, Crown Jewel. It is expected that he might interfere in the Crown Jewel Championship match between Gunther and Cody Rhodes. Although this rumor needs to be taken with a grain of salt, the chances of the former Universal Champion showing up are relatively high.
Besides, there were also some reports that suggested that this match might be pushed forward until WrestleMania. However, with this new report, it seems likely that WWE has planned the clash between The Ring General and the WWE Hall of Famer for way before the Show of Shows.

Also, if Goldberg is indeed planning on costing Gunther his Crown Jewel Championship match, it is good news for Rhodes. The latter has not been the favorite to win the inter-brand match. Therefore, this massive update has made this battle for supremacy more unpredictable than before.
Teddy Long thinks Goldberg should work in NXT before facing Gunther
Goldberg’s return to WWE TV has sent fans into a frenzy. When it was being considered that his ties with the company might be cut off, WWE pulled off a massive swerve by teasing an angle with Gunther. However, WWE HOF’er Teddy Long has a different take on the situation with the WCW icon.
Speaking on The Wrestling Time Machine, Long said that the former Universal Champion should spend some time in NXT before facing the World Heavyweight Champion. He added that Goldberg needs to shake off his ring rust before he steps in the ring with a talent like The Ring General.
The former SmackDown GM went on to say that Goldberg is in good shape for a few more matches in WWE. However, he is quite skeptical about his in-ring performance considering his 2019 bout with The Undertaker. Nonetheless, the WWE legend seemed amped for a potential program between the two titans.
