“We are exploring the metaverse” Stephanie McMahon makes an internet-breaking statement

WWE is a firm believer in progressing with the times. The company’s next move seems to be joining the Metaverse as stated by Stephanie McMahon since they’ve already confirmed a relationship with Fox Entertainment and Blockchain Creative Labs to embark on a journey of NFTs through a marketplace.

Stephanie McMahon makes an internet-breaking statement

Stephanie McMahon said that WWE is searching for strategies to join the Metaverse during the fourth-quarter earnings call in 2021. She went on to say that WWE is a community-based company, which is why Metaverse makes perfect sense.
Stephanie departs the Metaverse with a plethora of WWE opportunities. They’re now in the process of conducting due research. She went on to say that they are seeing new people and studying as much as they can about the Metaverse. In an interaction with Fightful, Steph said:

“We are absolutely exploring the Metaverse as an opportunity for WWE, especially as the theory unfolds that that’s really where more and more people are going to go to connect and socialize. WWE is a community-based business and is all about our fans coming together and sharing this experience.”
Stephanie continued, “We think there are huge opportunities to expand upon that in the Metaverse itself. In terms of our approach, we’re doing our due diligence. We’re meeting with various partners and learning as much we can.“

WWE’s Chief Brand Officer has stated that the company does not want to appear hurried in its entry into the Metaverse domain. They don’t want to be late, either, because WWE prefers to be “ahead of the curve.”
WWE is also considering registering the trademark of a virtual product. It’s possible that this is part of their NFT expansionist plan. WWE appears to have no intention of falling behind in our ultra-fast-paced world. These were the words of Stephanie McMahon:

“We don’t want to be hasty in this space. That being said, we certainly don’t want to be behind, we always like to be slightly ahead of the curve. It is something we are actively involved in and investigating and looking into.“

WWE entering the metaverse seems like a big deal and we can expect big things ahead of us in the future.
