WWE Monday Night Raw will be moving to Netflix at the start of 2025. The humongous $5 billion deal will keep the flagship show on the platform for 10 years. However, the ongoing deal with NBC Universal is also expiring this coming October. Therefore, during yesterday’s Q1 earnings call, WWE’s parent company, TKO, confirmed the red brand’s place for the remainder of the year.

The earnings’ press release mentions that WWE extended Raw’s stay on the USA Network for the fourth quarter of 2024. In addition to that, the new deal signed with NBC Universal is worth $25 million. The ongoing deal would amount to $66 million per quarter. Therefore, the extension is sort of a steal for the network.

Despite not being confirmed in the release, the red brand will most likely stay on Monday nights. As for the Netflix deal, it is believed that it will take WWE to “new heights.” During the recently concluded WWE Draft, it was seemingly evident that the promotion wanted to establish the show as the main brand. The likes of Gunther, Becky Lynch, and CM Punk are a few of the top stars who are leading the bloated Raw roster.

Meanwhile, Friday Night SmackDown will be returning to the USA Network in the fourth quarter. FOX chose not to renew its deal with WWE for the blue brand as NBC outbid the network to gain the five-year rights for it. Therefore, this means the promotion’s two flagship shows will be airing on the USA Network from October to January.

WWE looking to expands Saudi Arabia deal

Back in 2018, WWE signed a ten-year contract with the Ministry of Sport in Saudi Arabia to host two PLEs per year in the country. Fast forward six years, and the deal has gained polarizing opinions from the WWE Universe. Despite that, the Stamford-based promotion is looking to “festivalize” their events.

During the aforementioned earnings call, TKO president Mark Shapiro spoke about the relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia. Shapiro revealed that while the events were tied to Vince McMahon, Nick Khan has built a strong relationship.

Days ago, Turki Alalshikh teased that an announcement of an extension of the deal would be coming soon. More importantly, he revealed his intentions of hosting one of the big four PLEs in Saudi Arabia soon.
