Summer Rae is a professional wrestler, model, actress and also a former American football player. Born as Danielle Louise Moinet, she adopted the ring name of Summer Rae when she was signed by WWE in 2011. In addition to performing on the WWE shows, she was also one of the main cast members of the company’s reality show Total Divas.

Throughout her journey on the WWE shows, as well as the Total Divas, her relationship with former Divas Champion Natalya got the fans really interested. The two Superstars were constantly arguing and there was even an instance when Rae tightly slapped Natalya! As the years passed away, not many might have guessed that the duo still have the same old relationship.

On the latest episode of WWE Smackdown, 19 participants were announced. Surprisingly, almost half of the participants announced for this match are not a part of the currently active roster of WWE. Stars like Lita, Nikki Bella and Mickie James are returning to participate in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

One such Superstar, who is also making her return to WWE at the upcoming PPV is Summer Rae. She took to Twitter to announce the same and even warned the other Superstars to beware of her! “I’m baaaaaaaack…. See you at the #RoyalRumble!!! Get ready ladies bc I am in the best shape of my life,” tweeted Summer. In response to this the former Divas Champion Natalya tweeted – “I can’t wait to slap the **** out of [Summer Rae] #RoyalRumble.”

But this was just the beginning. Rae hit back with – “I’m sorry, my apologies as it’s hard to recall people so far beneath me. Who are you? Natalya No shade as you do look very familiar.” To this Natalya replied with:

“Ohhhh yes, thank you for posting this now I remember. How could I forget Mrs Get off my Property #AllTalk,” Summer wrote. But the last message came from Natalya stating, “I’m a 3 time world record holder, b—h. If you have any more correspondence, please reach out to my assistant. I’m super busy.”

In 2011, Rae had signed a developmental contract with WWE and was a part of their developmental territory – Florida Championship Wrestling. In addition to being an in-ring performer, she also served as a ring announcer at FCW TV – of which she later even became the general manager. When she moved to NXT Summer Rae feuded against the likes of Paige and Sasha Banks.

In 2013, Rae made her main roster debut. Not as an in-ring performer but as the dance partner to Fandango! Her first singles match victory came against Kaitlyn. While she continued performing on the WWE shows – she was an important part of the Season 2 and 3 of Total Divas. Rae was released from the company in 2017 and will be returning to the company for Royal Rumble later this month.
