WWE Superstar Spectacle results – 26/01/2021 (Champions Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre appear)


WWE’s Superstar Spectacle is an India special show, for India’s Republic Day. The show kicked off with an Indian dance by several wrestlers. The performance is followed by a video highlighting the importance of WWE in India.
Finn Balor def. Guru Raaj

Guru Raaj was advertised as a high-flying wrestler. He took on WWE NXT Champion Finn Balor. The technical ability of both these wrestlers made this match as a fast-paced high flying one.
Surprisingly, Raaj seemed to have early advantage in the match. Raaj hit a wonderful Standing Senton followed by a Kip Up and a Dropkick. He almost picked up the win. Raaj went for a crossbody but Balor countered it with an elbow to the face. The NXT Champion hit a 1916 to pick up the win.
Balor appreciated Raaj after the match.
Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, Dilsher Shanky and Giant Zanjeer def. Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro

The two fairly small WWE Superstars are teaming up with Dilsher Shanky and Giant Zanjeer who stand tall at 7 feet and 7 feet 2 inches, respectively. Shanky and Ziggler started off the match. Shanky tossed around Dolph Ziggler all over the ring.
The two Indian debutants dominated against Ziggler and Nakamura. Zanjeer even used Ricochet as a weapon and tossed him onto Ziggler, Corbin and Nakamura. Mysterio too joined in the party with his high-flying action. Dilsher hit Cesaro with a big boot and Mysterio followed with a 619. Mysterio and Dilsher cover Cesaro to pick up the win.
AJ Styles def. Jeet Rama

As the match began, Rama took down Styles. AJ reversed to get some control of the match. Styles his a Phenomenal Forearm, but Rama struck back showing his technical prowess.
Rama gained momentum in the match by hitting a German Suplex followed by a Vertical Release Suplex. Rama’s leg was injured when Styles put him under a calf crushing submission. Styles hit another Phenomenal Formearm to pick up the win.
Bhangra Performance

The New Day represented by Big E and Xavier Woods came out and wished all the fans in India a Happy Republic Day. They introduced the upcoming Bhangra performance. The Street Profits joined them as they introduced the dance group.
Charlotte Flair and Sareena Sandhu def. Natalya and Bayley

Charlotte Flair hugged her partner Sareena Sandhu prior to the match. Flair kicked off the match against Natalya. The Queen showed early domination in the game. she continued attacking both, Bayley and Natalya. She teamed up with Sandhu to hit a double armdrag onto their opponents.
Natalya and Bayley try to gain advantage in the match by isolating Sareena. Flair took out Bayley with a kick, outside the ring. Natalya was distracted. But Sareena could not get the cover. Natalya held Sareena under a submission hold, but Flair attacked Natalya from the back. Sareena Sandhu covered Natalya to pick up the win.
Drew McIntyre and Indus Sher def. Jinder Mahal and Bollywood Boys

Ric Flair came out and wished the fans a Happy Republic Day. He is interrupted by Jinder Mahal accompanied by the Bollywood Boys. Mahal mentioned that fans have tuned in to watch the modern-day Maharaja and not Flair. Drew McIntyre’s music hits.
The WWE Champion walked out. He mentioned that no one interrupts when Ric Flair is talking. McIntyre called out his teammates, the Indus Sher.
McIntyre began the match with Mahal. Mahal tagged in Sunil Singh, who tagged in Samir Singh. Samir slapped the WWE Champion, following which he was thrown to the corner. After The Bollywood Boys are crushed, Mahal finally came into the match. He attacked the arm of Rinku Singh.
McIntyre was soon tagged in. He went in with some crazy, fast-paced action. But Mahal countered with a knee to the face. Sunil Singh was tagged in. McIntyre hit a Claymore Kick to Mahal, as Rinku rolled Sunil up for the win.
