In 2018, WWE and the Saudi General Sports Authority established a 10-year comprehensive multi-platform collaboration to assist the Saudi Vision 2030 plan, which is the country’s social and economic transformation programme. The agreement provided for two events each year, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused postponements in 2020 and 2021. The most recent event that WWE held in Saudi Arabia was February’s Elimination Chamber which saw Brock Lesnar win the WWE Championship.

WWE is set to travel back to the Kingdom in September, according to Andrew Zarian of F4Wonline.com, and speculation is that it will be for TLC 2022. As far as this writing , the TLC show’s date and location have yet to be finalized. WWE is apparently heading to the United Kingdom for a Premium Live Event on Saturday, September 3 from Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, as previously announced.

As of now, WWE has not confirmed the UK PLE, although it appears that it will take place near the end of the month, as the UK event is scheduled for the first weekend of the month. The UK PLE event is still underway, according to this fresh story on TLC in Saudi Arabia. WWE was reported to be coming to the Kingdom in October of this year, but those plans appear to have altered.

Because WWE did not stage a TLC show in 2021, this would be the first TLC event since 2020. The WWE ThunderDome in Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, hosted the 2020 show, which featured current RAW Tag Team Champion Randy Orton defeating “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Inferno Match.
