“Totally not qualified”; Why doesn’t John Cena want to be a father?

John Cena is one of the biggest global Superstars. There was a time when Cena’s name was often considered to be synonymous with WWE. In fact, the 16-time WWE World Champion was pushed as the face of the company for nearly a decade. He played a crucial role in taking the company to newer markets and making it the global brand that it today is.
As much as he excelled as a professional wrestler, his career in Hollywood catapulted too in 2021. He was part of two major franchisee projects last year. Additionally, he is currently headlining his own television series titled “Peacemaker” which premiered last week. The Leader of Cenation continues to make sporadic appearances for WWE and it would be fair to say that both his careers are thriving.
While he had managed to keep his personal life away from the limelight, but John Cena’s personal relationships, somehow, always comes to the limelight! The 16-time World Champion has been engaged to marry a couple of times, but he gained the most eyeballs when he started dating former Divas Champion Nikki Bella in 2012. The two Superstars were engaged in 2017, after Cena proposed her at Wrestlemania 33.
Unfortunately, they ended their relationship in 2018, a week before they scheduled to marry. Later it was revealed that the reason for their break up was due to John Cena’s choice of not having children. The Leader of Cenation recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show where he revealed the reason behind the idea of not having children.
“I really enjoy my life. I have been riding a lightning bolt for quite some time now. I have been given opportunities to do and see things that man, I didn’t even dream of and I had some pretty lofty dreams. It’s hard work. It’s hard work to balance the time, I need to run myself correctly. It’s hard work to be the best partner and husband I can be to my loving wife. It’s hard to keep connections with those in my life that I love. And it’s also hard to put in an honest day’s work. This is just my perspective, totally not qualified, but I think just because you might be good at something, for me, is not a strong enough reason to do that. You have to have passion for it,” mentioned Cena.
When will John Cena return to WWE?
The 16-time WWE World Champion was last seen at Summerslam 2021. After a month long feud, John Cena had collided against the Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and ended up on the losing side. But before leaving, he promised to return soon. Fans had speculated that he would return for Wrestlemania 38.
But during his recent appearance on The Ellen Show, John Cena clarified that he wont be able to make it in time for the 38th edition of the Showcase of Immortals. “So, WrestleMania is usually in the cusp of late March, early April. I don’t know if I’m gonna make it this year and that’s a good conundrum to have because there’s a lot of good opportunity coming up which I would love to take and if all those things line up, I don’t know if I’ll be able to make WrestleMania,” mentioned Cena.
