The Attitude Era megastar is one of the most popular women in the industry and her contributions to the wrestling industry has been unanimous. But Stratus has also been a part of many controversial angles in the company.

One of those controversial angles included Stratus in a storyline against Vince McMahon for WrestleMania. Vince McMahon was battling Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 17 when Stratus distracted the Chairman and then betrayed her followed by an attack on Stephanie McMahon which she said changed her career. Here’s what she said during an appearance on WWE’s The Bump:

During the build up to the match at WrestleMania 17, Trish Stratus was involved in an angle with a Vince McMahon where the Boss asked Stratus to strip down and bark which the WWE Universe had mixed reactions for. Stratus opened up on the controversial angle recently on during her appearance on WWE’s The Bump and said:

“As everyone knows it was a long journey of questionable moments before that between Vince and I. As a character, I knew this was the end point and it was culminating in this point. Everything we did, including that event, was worth it. It was completely worth it for the character and the evolution of the character. And it meant that much more for us to get there to that point. It was an awesome moment for me as a character.” – WrestlingInc
