The former Imperium member, Giovanni Vinci has been absent since a few weeks after WrestleMania XL. His former tag team partner, Ludwig Kaiser, brutally attacked him and kicked him out of Imperium after they lost to The New Day on the April 22, 2024, episode of Raw. After being on hiatus for more than three months, fans were worried about the Italian wrestler’s future.

Fans got all the answers on the latest episode of SmackDown when Giovanni Vinci appeared in a video package. He had a new identity, one with no connection to his former partners, Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser. Vinci adopted the gimmick from his NXT days, where he wrestled as a singles star for some time.

In the video, the 34-year-old star talked about finally becoming the person he was always meant to be. Vinci stated that he would be the kind of man who believes in no shortcuts and has no limits. He further added that success was destined for him. His character in the developmental brand impressed fans and became quite popular.

There was never any doubt about Vinci’s ability to put on a great match, but he was often overshadowed by his fellow Imperium members. However, after the video package was released, fans were excited to learn more about his new gimmick. It will be interesting to see when he finally returns to SmackDown.
