The latest episode of SmackDown took place in Chicago, Illinois. Needless to say, this prompted an appearance from CM Punk despite being signed to the red brand. However, Drew McIntyre was one step ahead of his arch-nemesis this time. He caught the Voice of the Voiceless by surprise and laid a brutal beatdown, causing him to get hospitalized.

Shortly after SmackDown went off the air, a fan spotted Punk out on the streets of Chicago. The Best in the World can be seen driving around his car and presumably going home from the arena. Fans of the superstar can be seen standing along the road and cheering for the hometown hero.

During a backstage segment, Drew McIntyre appeared behind a garage gate in the arena. Punk was lying in front of him, with blood flowing across his face. The former WWE Champion picked up his arch-nemesis and carried him all the way through the arena to the ringside ramp.

McIntyre dropped the injured superstar off his shoulders as the audience booed him loudly. Nick Aldis quickly made his way to ringside with security and medical staff. He accompanied CM Punk to the ambulance, sent him off, and looked concerned about the situation.

The Wrestling World is shocked to see CM Punk driving after brutal beatdown by Drew McIntyre

The wrestling world was in a frenzy watching this footage of Punk. Fans were surprised that the Straight Edge Superstar was able to walk, let alone drive, after that brutal beatdown. They recommended that he should be under concussion protocol after that attack.

Several netizens joked how Punk possessed healing powers akin to those of John Cena or Seth Rollins. Both these superstars have had recoveries from injuries in the past. Cena’s most prominent one was at Royal Rumble 2008 and The Architect returned last week on Raw.

Regardless, fans were sure that Punk would strike back with something even bigger next time. He had already gone far enough to dress up as a referee and cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship in his hometown. Netizens were excited to see the lengths he would go to this time to get back at the Scottish Psychopath.
