Nia Jax has completely turned her career around in the past twelve months when she returned to WWE in 2023. However, there was a time when she was considered a highly unreliable worker in the ring. She often injured people and had a reputation for going off the script. A similar incident occurred between her and Charlotte Flair during a match in 2021.

The two female superstars faced off against each other on the Aug 31, 2021 edition of Raw. During the match, some confusion occurred between the duo, and they started taking stiff shots at each other. Flair seemed to slap her opponent for real. This agitated the Samoan, and she responded with a shove. Jax held down the 14x World Champion against the ropes, and the referee had to break those two apart.

Charlotte Flair came back to hit her opponent with two more stiff shots, but she seemed unaffected. However, two strikes by Jax nearly caused the 38-year-old to fall over. The Irresistible Force also seemed to drop her harder than usual on a slam.

Jax was even released from WWE just three months after this match. However, it is great to see the 40-year-old turn around her career. In less than a year, she has been involved with several high-profile matches, including main-eventing Elimination Chamber. Furthermore, she even won the Queen of the Ring tournament and won the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam by defeating Bayley.

Many wrestling fans found it surprising how easily Nia Jax was able to put down her opponent when things got a little too real between the two superstars. Netizens speculated that the Samoan superstar was even taking it easy on her opponent and holding back her punches. She could have easily destroyed Flair if she wanted to.

Flair had also developed an attitude for being hard to work with during 2021. Not even two months after this match, she would go on to have the infamous Belt Exchange incident with Becky Lynch and Sonya Deville. Some fans were glad to see her get some comeuppance for these actions.

Fans speculated a potential feud between these two superstars. A returning Flair will surely be cheered on by the audience, and it can be a great rival to the dominating heel, Jax.
