Cody Rhodes retained his Undisputed WWE Title by defeating AJ Styles in the main event of Backlash in France. Both superstars didn’t hold back, catching each other with innovative moves. However, The American Nightmare’s modification of the popular move left fans in complete shock. 

During the match, The Phenomenal One was hitting his signature move on Cody Rhodes, but he countered his offense, and in revenge, he dished out his. The 38-year-old star hit AJ Styles with an iconic move called the Bionic Elbow, which his father Dusty Rhodes used to hit. Although Rhodes has hit opponents with the move many times, he decided to use it differently against Styles. 

He gave tribute to The American Dream and hit the former WWE Champion with the original Bionic Elbow, while including an NSFW action in it. The move completely changed the dynamics in Rhodes’ favor, as after the brutality both superstars had gone through, he ended up winning the match by delivering a devastating Cross Rhodes.
