“Boss in action”: Vince McMahon set to make his in-ring return
McMahon
Vince McMahon is one of the most powerful man in the professional wrestling industry. Currently serving as the WWE CEO and Chairman – McMahon has been at the helm of affairs since the last four decades. He has been a part of the business since the 1970s – when he used to commentate for his father’s promotion.
Vince bought the company from his father in 1982 and has made it a global brand since then. Today, the WWE shows are worldwide available in over 900 million homes. Prior to the launch of All Elite Wrestling, WWE had almost monopolized the entire industry. While he is known for being a complete control freak – McMahon always tries to deliver what is best for business.
Vince McMahon has ensured that the last few premium events of WWE have been really loved by the fans. But now the biggest challenge awaits him as the company gears up to produce their biggest event of the year – Wrestlemania 38. It is being reported that the company is leaving no stone unturned to deliver a mega-event.
The card for Wrestlemania 38 is pretty fluid. Apart from the already announced matches, no other match is set in stone and the card is subject to change. Some massive matches are being planned involving Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edge among others. But now a new match is being rumored and could well be one of the most controversial matches on the card.
John Pollock of POST Wrestling reported that the company is planning a feud between the CEO and Smackdown commentator Pat McAfee. This feud is likely to have an impact on the Wrestlemania 38 card. In fact, these rumors could well be true – as Vince McMahon will be appearing in on Pat McAfee’s show.
Vince McMahon has been regularly appearing on WWE TV
Since Day 1, Vince McMahon has been regularly appearing on WWE TV. Interestingly, he has been regularly appearing in segments in one of the newest additions to the main roster – Austin Theory. The segments made it seem like McMahon has taken Theory under his wings.
But now it seems like he is going to be more involved in the coming weeks. One explanation could be that the feud involves him and McAfee but the final match sees Theory representing him. Although it is true that a match involving McMahon is bound to attract more eyeballs.
