WATCH: Charlotte Flair gets punched by AEW star as part of Wrestlemania prep
Flair
Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest Superstars on the WWE roster today. At Summerslam 2021 she kicked off her 13th reign as a WWE World Champion. She emerged victorious in a Triple Threat match which also involved Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. at “The Biggest Party of the Summer” and captured the Raw Women’s Championship.
But later during the year, as part of the WWE Draft 2021, the Queen was drafted to the Blue brand. Hence, she had to exchange her title with Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. She even successfully defended the title against former WWE Superstar Toni Storm. But Flair wanted to select her own opponent and entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match to do so.
Unfortunately, she came very close to winning the match but ended up being the final elimination of the match. The eventual winner, Ronda Rousey, decided that she will be challenging Charlotte Flair for the title at Wrestlemania 38. With this she has become one of the biggest challengers to have stood up against Flair.
Since the feud began, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey have already faced each other once. Flair had teamed up with Sonya Deville at Elimination Chamber to face Ronda Rousey and Naomi. Flair and Deville ended up on the losing side. But seeing Rousey in action so closely, the Smackdown Women’s Champion might’ve realized that she needs to prep harder.
Flair’s beau and AEW star Andrade decided to step in and help her out. Recently, Flair took to Twitter to share a video where the former WWE Superstar can be seen punching the Smackdown Women’s Championship. As stated by Flair in the caption, it is part of her “prep” for Wrestlemania 38. You can watch the full video here:
Charlotte Flair is already looking for new challengers
The Smackdown Women’s Championship is set to be on the line in the main event of Wrestlemania Saturday. While the event is still nearly a month away, yet Charlotte Flair seems confident that she will be retaining the title. In a recent interview with Hot 97, Flair named the Superstars she is looking forward to face after being done with Rousey.
“I expect big things not that Bianca hasn’t already done big things, and I still look at my Money in the Bank match with Rhea Ripley, it was a great match. I want to see, you know, what’s next for the both of them,” mentioned Flair.
