“One of the worst acting moments” When Nikki Bella slapped Dolph Ziggler

WWE Total Divas was quite a thing back in 2016 and the Bella Twins were had always been the centre of attraction. Let’s talk about the time when Dolph Ziggler confessed his feelings for Nikki Bella only to be slapped as a consequence.

Before John Cena and Nikki Bella were a thing, Nikki and Dolph Ziggler tended to have a “serious” relationship. In Season 5 of Total Divas, Ziggler confronted Bella and claimed he still had feelings for her, bringing up their past. Furthermore, Ziggler vowed to provide Bella with what Cena had previously denied: a family. The episode showed how Ziggler played all the tricks in his book to win Bella back. However, his efforts were all in vain when he leaned for a kiss but ended up getting slapped by Nikki.

“Nick! Were you just going to kiss me?” asked Nikki. She then storms off without giving him a chance to explain. “Honestly, I thought more of you,” she says as she walks away. As we all know that this was probably scripted, Dolph Ziggler did one hell of a job during the shot. However, Nikki Bella couldn’t sell it as it just looked fake. The body language and her expressions were all criticised by the fans as this scene was then termed as ‘one of the worst acting moments’ by most of the fans.

John Cena and Nikki Bella unfortunately parted ways

The revelation of Bella and Cena’s breakup shocked the world of pop culture. They seemed to be on their way to becoming WWE’s rendition of a royal couple after their WrestleMania 32 engagement. However, their relationship and engagement came to an end in early 2018. There are many theories about why they broke up, but Nikki Bella told Cosmopolitan that she had lost touch with herself and that was the main reason for them no longer working out.

“I lost for so many years,” she said. “That was all my fault. I’m the one who forgot about me. I have realized now to truly have a happy life, you have to give yourself so much love first and work on yourself in any way you can.” Nikki Bella however, is apparently engaged to Artem Chigvintsev and the couple do have a kid together.
