On the latest episode of SmackDown, Triple H announced that both Raw and SmackDown would be getting new general managers. While Adam Pearce was promoted to the position of GM for Raw, a new face was brought in to manage the proceedings on SmackDown. Triple H announced that Nick Aldis will be the general manager for SmackDown moving forward.
Nick Aldis is a 36-year-old English wrestler who has been in the industry for almost two decades. He is mostly known for his work in the NWA as their Heavyweight Champion for a record 1043 days. Apart from being a two-time world champion in NWA, Aldis also worked in TNA for seven years, where he had huge success as their top guy.
During his time in TNA, Nick Aldis won the world championship once. He also won the tag team titles twice with Doug Williams and Samoa Joe, respectively. Other than NWA and TNA, Nick Aldis spent a better part of the past decade establishing himself in the indies. He is quite popular among a wide section of fans.
Nick had revealed that when his contract with NWA was up, AEW had offered him a multi-year contract. However, he rejected the offer then and signed with WWE as a producer. Finally, Aldis is being featured on WWE programming. Therefore, hard-core fans are excited to see the former champion step foot in the ring as a competitor soon.

Who is Nick Aldis’ wife?
Apart from being a professional wrestler himself, Nick Aldis’ wife is former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James. The two married eight years ago and have a son together. They dated for five years before they decided to tie the knot in 2015.

Mickie James, a veteran in the industry, boasts five Women’s Championship reigns. She emerged as a top female wrestler during the Ruthless Aggression era when women’s wrestling wasn’t as valued as it is today. Consequently, James is a pioneer for women’s wrestling in WWE and other promotions.
