Ever since joining WWE back in 2016, AJ Styles is on the verge of missing WrestleMania for the first time. That’s not due to any creative differences. As known, Styles caught an unlucky knee injury during a live event in December. Since then, it was revealed that The Phenomenal One will have to stay away from in-ring competition for weeks, maybe months. Before getting injured, he was feuding with his former Bullet Club member Finn Balor and his Judgment Day.

Later on, it turned out the case which will now keep AJ out for the longest he’s ever been due to an injury in WWE. And this really sucks as a real wrestling fan. Styles is counted amongst the all-time greats of this industry and his accolades in WWE speaks volumes for himself. Not only in WWE, he’s a well-established name across the globe.

Putting all that aside, the need of the hour is to get AJ Styles back to where he belongs, and that’s to perform on Monday nights. The nature of his injury is not very serious, although it would need some time to recover. Will that force the former WWE Champion to unwillingly skip WrestleMania this year? Actually, this can very well be the case. The WWE medical team has an extremely tough assessment to pass for any wrestler who’s willing to prove his/her well being to get back into that ring.

They may completely stop a half-hearted superstar in AJ to rush things and get into WrestleMania. As known, superstars having knee injuries do struggle for an extended course as it takes away the lower strength from the victim. So, the bottomline is, AJ Styles needs to be ultra-cautious before scaling down the natural time-period for his return.

AJ Styles had a disappointing outing at WrestleMania 38

AJ Styles vs. Edge was believed to be a clinic, however it was disappointing

Styles vs Edge was a clash of two generations, two masters of their in-ring ideologies. However, it crashed badly as a product of over excitement. Fans tied some bizarrely high hopes from the match and in the end, they didn’t even bother investing themselves during the match.

At WrestleMania 38, both legends made their grand entrance through a previously vocal crowd, however, once they started in the ring, that all piped-down. The energy fizzled out and they no-showed their interest even once in the match.

The strategy didn’t pan out well. That was enough to make such a dream match fell flat. Despite of a wrestling masterclass, it’s safe although hard to say, it was one of the biggest disappointments of AJ Styles’ entire wrestling career.

They’d have created magic out there if either of the two got some backup from over 70,000 in attendance at the AT&T stadium. And most probably, Styles won’t even be ring ready to make it to the event this year.
