12-time Champion lashes out at WWE botching the advertisement of his WrestleMania 41 title match
The New Day is rightfully upset about WWE snubbing him and Kofi Kingston out of their now-official match at WrestleMania 41.

On Friday afternoon, Raw GM Adam Pearce announced that The War Raiders will defend their World Tag Team Championships against The New Day at WrestleMania 41. It’s something that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been wanting for a long time. But now that it’s official, Woods still isn’t happy. However, there’s a good reason for it.
The former King of the Ring took to X and posted a screen recording from the WWE website officially listing his WrestleMania match against the War Raiders. But, as one could see by scrolling down, the company has erroneously featured Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins in the featured superstars column when they’re not even in the bout.
Woods and his partner Kingston are nowhere to be found as of press time. Taking offense to it, the 38-year-old Georgia native wrote on social media that the disrespect surrounding the New Day will end when they dethrone Eric and Ivar in Las Vegas. Xavier also used the trademark hashtag he and Kofi have been pushing for quite a while now: Thank God For The New Day.

The revamped attitude of The New Day might’ve given them jitters to begin with. However, in the past few weeks, Woods and Kingston have really found their mojo. On the latest episode of Raw, they failed to capture the doubles gold from Eric and Ivar after the match ended in a disqualification. It was Ivar who clocked Xavier with a chair shot to the back. The latter’s aide, Kofi, later complained about it on social media.
Has Big E’s ouster made The New Day stale?
The New Day, a once happy-go-lucky trio featuring Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods, captured the imagination of the WWE Universe like very few could do. However, with their powerhouse suffering a potential career-ending neck injury in March 2022, the onus was on Kofi and Xavier to carry the legacy forward.

While E was away, his boys added another feather to their cap by becoming the NXT Tag Team Champions in December 2022. They ousted Pretty Deadly at Deadline but soon dropped the belts to Nathan Frazer and Axiom a couple of months later in February 2023.
There came a point when Kingston was actively optimistic about having Odyssey Jones as Big E’s replacement in the New Day. However, Woods was never on board with it, often causing disagreements between him and Kofi. Jones got unceremoniously released by WWE while he was involved in a storyline with the tag team specialists.
In December last year, on the 10-year anniversary of The New Day in WWE, Big E made a one-off return to celebrate with his brothers. However, what he got in return was a rejection of all sorts. Woods and Kingston, who at the time were on the verge of breaking up apparently, turned their backs on E and became heel in the process.
Big E questions The New Day’s credibility after his departure?
As Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods continue to march ahead without Big E by their side, the duo seems hellbent on severing its remaining ties with the former WWE Champion. Kingston recently posted a picture of his WrestleMania 35 high, where the Jamaican became a WWE Champion by tanking Daniel Bryan.

The original picture had Kofi perched on the shoulders of both Woods and E. However, Kingston, in the post he made before Raw last week, cropped Big E out. Reacting to the snub, the 39-year-old broke the ice on Raw Recap. The former US Powerlifting Champion understood that the current version of New Day is on a mission to erase him from history.

However, asserting that there’s no New Day without him, E threw some curveballs at Woods and Kingston, asking what glory they’ve brought to the group since he’s been out, nursing his neck. That unfortunate injury was recently made fun of by Tony Hinchcliffe on Raw.
