Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) dropped a shocking bombshell when he revealed that he had confronted Randy Orton at SummerSlam. According to the rapper, he had heard Orton badmouth him and decided to respond in a hostile manner to the veteran. However, The Viper refuted these claims, calling MGK a liar on social media. Amid this back-and-forth exchange, Xavier Woods has weighed in his own thoughts on the situation.

The New Day member took to X to back Orton’s side. Woods claimed that if anybody had said something vulgar to the veteran’s face, they wouldn’t have been able to tell that story later. Therefore, the 37-year-old found MGK’s account of the incident ridiculous. In response, the $25 million worth rapper said that the cameras were rolling during the alleged altercation backstage. Moreover, Kelly asked WWE to release the footage and show it to the fans.

At SummerSlam, Machine Gun Kelly appeared alongside Logan Paul, accompanying him to his United States title defense. Despite his help, Paul failed to retain and lost his championship against LA Knight. While Orton didn’t have a scheduled bout at the event, he played a major role in the main event. The Apex Predator helped his friend, Cody Rhodes, in evening the odds against The Bloodline in the main event.

As for Xavier Woods, he has had a tense relationship with his New Day teammate, Kofi Kingston. The latter brought in Odyssey Jones to help with their rivalry against The Final Testament. As such, Woods didn’t take too kindly to this, expressing his displeasure on camera. Nonetheless, only time will tell what the future holds for the popular faction.

Will the Machine Gun Kelly-Randy Orton situation lead to a future tag team match?

Similar to Xavier Woods, Kevin Owens reacted to the alleged backstage incident. The former Universal Champion posted a picture alongside Randy Orton, extending support to his friend. Given his history with MGK, Owens could’ve also teased a potential future match.

Fans might see a tag team match pitting R-KO against MGK and Logan Paul. In fact, this entire fiasco could be a set-up to MGK stepping foot inside a WWE ring. Regardless, it wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity gets physical inside the squared circle.

Most notably, Bad Bunny has found success in the sport so far. The Puerto Rican rapper debuted at WrestleMania 37 in a tag team match and later fought in a well-acclaimed bout against Damian Priest at last year’s Backlash. As a result, the artist has set a high bar for celebrity wrestling, which will be difficult for others to match.
