A couple of weeks ago, The New Day went through a drastic and shocking change. During their ten-year anniversary celebration, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods kicked Big E out of the group. Amidst dealing with the fallout of the decision, Woods shifted his focus to the tag title scene on Raw. The 11x Tag Team Champion questioned general manager Adam Pearce on social media about the current champs on the red brand.
Woods took a shot at the current World Tag Team Champions, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. The 38-year-old star mocked the champs’ lack of title defenses on Raw. In response, Pearce reminded Woods that The New Day lost to The Alpha Academy in 30 seconds in their last competitive bout. This prompted Woods to bring up the last time he and Kingston faced The Judgment Day for the tag team titles.
The formerly known Austin Creed posted a clip of the match. During the closing stretches of the bout, the referee got distracted by an outside brawl. At the same time, Woods had gained a visual pinfall win over McDonagh. Woods then accused Adam Pearce of mismanagement of the tag team division on Monday Night Raw.
I ask a legitimate question about your clear mismanagement of the tag division and instead of answering, you respond like a troll.

This was judgment days first defense 70 days into their reign. But I guess you only wanna rectify things when it suits you. https://t.co/idynv5CPTw pic.twitter.com/RtB1f0rS8O
Last week, Xavier Woods, alongside Kofi Kingston, came out to address the live crowd following the aforementioned ten-year anniversary celebration. Despite their best efforts to explain their actions, the audience loudly booed The New Day out of the ring. Needless to say, this storyline has certainly caught the attention of the WWE Universe. Therefore, it is only a matter of time before the duo gets involved in the tag title scene again.
Xavier Woods takes a shot at Big E after Saturday Night’s Main Event ending
The aftermath of Saturday Night’s Main Event saw Cody Rhodes getting stretchered out of the arena after Kevin Owens brutally attacked him. Owens delivered the banned ‘Package Piledriver’ on Rhodes, which injured his neck and required immediate medical attention.
Reacting to the event, Xavier Woods took a shot at his former teammate and friend, Big E. Woods sarcastically asked when Rhodes would return after the latter suffered a neck injury. This is in reference to the promo Woods and Kofi Kingston cut on Big E during the ten-year anniversary celebration.
Damn. I wonder when he's coming back? https://t.co/Ef5lbyokCC

The duo called out their tag team partner for not returning despite suffering a career-threatening neck injury. Kingston mentioned the likes of Steve Austin and Edge as wrestlers who came back after suffering similar injuries. However, unlike them, Big E had two people waiting for him. This subsequently led to them kicking out the former WWE Champion from the group.
