Four-time MLB All-Star Juan Soto has stole all the spotlight. On Sunday night, it was announced that he has agreed to join the New York Mets on a historic 15-year $765 million deal. This has not sat well with some fans. A video of a group of fans burning his jersey has now gone viral.

Soto joined the Yankees through a trade last December from the San Diego Padres. Upon his arrival in the Bronx, he became a fan-favorite.

The Dominican international continued to impress the fans with his performances throughout the year. He smashed 41 home runs while playing an important part in the Yankees’ first American Pennant title since 2009.

After the conclusion of the World Series, Soto became a free agent. There were some expectations that he could return to the Yankees after this incredible season. However, he choose their cross-town rivals, the Mets in the end.

Soto’s signing with the Mets has ignited wild reactions across social media. There are some though are extremely displeased with him joining the Mets.

In a video that is going viral on X, a Yankee number 22 jersey could be seen burning. While the Yankees do not typically have names on the back unlike other sports teams, No.22 was worn by Soto this season. The group of fans expressed their anger by this extreme action. Check out the video below:

Yankee fan sends NFSW message to Juan Soto after he joins NY Mets

The New York Yankees fans are arguably not in a good mood at the moment. While one group of fans burnt the jersey of Juan Soto after he joined the New York Mets, one fan shared an NSFW message to him.

In a video making circles on X, a fan wearing a Yankee hat could be seen pointing across the Citi Field stadium, the home of the Mets. In the video, the fan repeatedly drops an F-bomb against Soto while ranting about his big-money move to their rivals.
