“Yeah, we could do that,” says Dana White suggesting that Julianna Pena could be Amanda Nunes’ next opponent

Julianna Pena might just be getting what she wished for according to UFC President Dana White. On March 6th at the UFC 259, Amanda Nunes went up against Megan Anderson. The two-division champion submitted Anderson in the first round.
The sad reality is there are no contenders that can take down the arguable GOAT of the women’s featherweight and bantamweight division. Pena has been calling out Nunes ever since she made a comeback to UFC in January. Julianna is coming off a victory against Sara McMann.
The fighter explained why she is the worthy opponent for Amanda. But Nunes has not been very encouraging of this idea, but things might change. After the Nunes-Anderson fight at UFC 259, Julianna has been calling for the fight again. Pena called up for Nunes in several tweets.
Dana White in the post-match conference revealed that Julianna has been busy texting everybody. “Julianna Peña has been texting all of us all night,” said White. “She’s been busy tonight. Yeah, we could do that [fight].” ‘The Lioness’ though has not been very welcoming of the call out from Pena.
“She can fight Germaine,” says Amanda responding to Pena’s callout
Nunes shared her thoughts on the Julianna Pena callout in the post-fight press conference. The fighter suggested that Pena needs more wins in the game before she gets a championship opportunity. “So, Holly is off. She can fight Germaine [de Randamie],” said Nunes.
“I feel like she has to get in the mix, but we’ll see. I’m going to go back down and I’m going to see my diet because now I’m pretty heavy, so yeah. I feel like I’m a champion and I’m never going to turn down fights. I’m going to be facing whoever Dana White wants me to face.”
With Dana White being okay with the two fighters fighting, we might see a Nunes-Pena fight.
