There were a handful of stinging comments which deluged the internet as former Indian cricketer, Yograj Singh, also the father of Yuvraj Singh, made scathing remarks about women. Speaking on ‘Unfiltered with Samdish’ YouTube channel, Yograj Singh made a controversial remark about women, also dragging India’s former PM Indira Gandhi as an example in his statement. He also highlighted the fact that Yuvraj Singh did make him proud but could have done better.

Yuvraj Singh revealed in an earlier episode of the Club Prairie Podcast alongside Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist that he was forced to play cricket by his father. He also pointed out that he won a gold medal in the roller skating U14 National Championship and yet was not allowed to pursue the game. The recent statements of Yograj Singh rekindled the infamous words uttered by his son few months back.

So I forced him. One day, when Yuvi came home after winning a skating competition, my first thought was that my son was doing such a fantastic job in this sport, winning so many medals. But when I looked at him, his red band and long mane, something hit me very hard. I threw away his skates and his medals. People called me a ruthless man, but I had something else in my mind. Yuvi was twelve years old at that time.

Yograj Singh was quoted saying this in an interview by Cricbuzz

Formerly talking in the BeerBiceps podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia, Yuvraj Singh hinted that his father had mental issues and he didn’t want to accept it.

Yograj Singh’s latest remarks about women, MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev has sparked a heated online debate about his parenting methodologies. People have questioned whether Yuvraj Singh really needed to go through all of this heat.

This is what X had to say about Yograj Singh’s controversial remarks

X was deluged with a glut of remarks which were a blend of memes and rage. A few said that Samdish Bhatia should have done potential podcasts with renowned personalities of the country. Others questioned the former cricketer’s parenting abilities and said that the way he had reacted throughout his life, shouldn’t set such parenting precedent.

However, the majority of the angst against Yograj Singh was because of his disrespect for women. Also, marking it with an undertone of being harsh towards his son, the fans simply did not hold back. Other netizens simply echoed the words of Yuvraj Singh from before, stating that Yograj Singh needed support mentally while also pointing out that Yuvi did shine bright despite being under stringent control.

The conversation between Yograj Singh and Samdish Bhatia comprised several other facets that got the internet talking.

He also remarked that how he sent a note to former World Cup-winning Indian captain, Kapil Dev, stating that Yuvraj Singh did better than him in 2011. Contrary to what he said last time about MS Dhoni, Yograj Singh lauded the former Indian captain in his latest remark.
