Social media has taken notice of LiAngelo Ball’s rise to fame as a rapper. The NFL appears to have noticed as well. The Detroit Lions celebrated using this hot new Billboard hit by G3 after winning the NFC North division title and securing the NFC top seed. This showcases Ball’s quick rise to the world of music.

The middle brother of Hornets All-Star LaMelo Ball and Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball, the former G League player, is succeeding in his new career. The 26-year-old LiAngelo ascended the stage after the first quarter of the Lions’ divisional round game against the Washington Commanders in Detroit. This was less than a week after signing a record contract for up to $13 million with Def Jam.

LiAngelo was a summer league player for the Detroit Pistons once, but aside from this, Ball has no obvious connections to Washington or Detroit. Ball was in the front row of the Hornets vs Bulls game at United Center recently, seeing his older brother Lonzo and younger brother LaMelo play in the NBA for the first time since 2021.

In addition, in 2024, the former NBA G League player finished his professional basketball career with the Astros de Jalisco of Mexico. Due to an injury, he quit the team after two games. His musical career has flourished in the meantime. Since its January 3 release, “Tweaker” has received a great deal of attention and praise, amassing over 22 million Spotify listens.
