WNBA star Angel Reese and rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. (DDG) made waves online when the duo collaborated on a recent video together. A behind-the-scenes clip shows DDG claiming that he could beat the Sky sensation in hoops. Reese’s unintentionally hilarious response has been cracking the internet.

DDG posted a YouTube video with a vlog of his day when he shot the reel with Angel Reese. At one point in the vlog the American rapper and the WNBA player seemed to be getting ready to pose for the camera.

Before the snap, DDG challenged Reese’s hooping and claimed he could beat her to it. The WNBA star simply responded with a no and gave him the height difference as the reason.

No you can’t, you’re too small.

Angel Reese responded

The unexpected collab video previously posted by DDG on his X account gained 2 million views in 24 hours. The netizens couldn’t help but ship the duo. The video comes after DDG’s recent split with Halle Bailey in October 2024.

Meanwhile, Reese has been linked with multiple men with no official statements from her end. While at it, she also invited DDG on her podcast, Unapologetically Angel and the rapper was sportingly down for it. Angel Reese has been spending her off-season busy with her other commitments.

The Sky player had an incredible rookie season, although cut short due to her ACL injury. The rookie made an incredible mark, breaking several records besides coming second in the Rookie of the Year award.

DDG swears Angel Reese and he are of the same height

Angel Reese had Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. rapping a verse from his song ‘What U Bad For’ featuring Real Boston Richey. The TikTok soon went viral on the internet. The Instagram handle of ‘The Shade Room‘ also posted the video with a zoomed-out angle.

People couldn’t help but notice the height difference between the two. The comments section was filled with comments about how starkly short DDG looked beside Reese. The rapper himself joined in on the joke and swore that they were the same height and that Reese was wearing heels.

She had heels on, we the same height i swear.

DDG commented

The song chosen by the duo is inspired by DDG’s recent breakup, where he reflects on his son, Halo, and his connection to Halle Bailey. While he admitted publicly having not moved on, Bailey had remained quiet about the situation.
