Zach LaVine needs to be Number 2 Guy says Kendrick Perkins

NBA Analyst Kendrick Perkins seems to be unimpressed by Chicago Bulls’ Zach LaVine. The latter has spent some years of his basketball career with the Chicago Bulls, yet he has not been able to make the franchise a playoff constant. LaVine has shown glimpses of his form in every season. But has not been able to manage to regularly channelise for the Bulls. Perkins believes LaVine does not qualify to be ‘the Number One’ guy for a franchise.
LaVine track record has not been enough to defend him against Perkins’ speculations. After joining the league in 2014 for Minnesota Timberwolves. His 3 year with the franchise, had made him an eye-catching candidate for a lot of franchise. Eventually he was traded to Chicago Bulls in exchange for Jimmy Butler. But his arrival in the Bulls has never seen him be the offensive terror he has the ability to become.
“I think Zach LaVine needs to be somewhere else” Kendrick Perkins
Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins spoke to NBA analyst Brandon Robinson about Zach LaVine. Perkins said, “I love Zach LaVine but, not with the Chicago Bulls. I think he needs to be somewhere where Zach LaVine needs to be a number 2 guy.
“I don’t believe he’s a number one guy. Yeah, he can go out there and get you 30, but he’s not a guy that will get you over the hump night in and night out.”
With no offense, Perkins could be right here. Perhaps LaVine could be a solid second option on a better team. Pairing LaVine up with a star player of a different team can help him unlock his true potential.
This could be the year that LaVine can help the Chicago Bulls unlock their true potential. However, they need to make a statement fast because the Eastern Conference is tougher than it has been in recent years. With the regular season starting from December 22. But the Bulls have got a couple of days as their first encounter of the season is against Atlanta Hawks on December 24. All eyes would be on LaVine after his impressive performance in the pre-season games.
