Fan signs have made a significant resurgence in professional wrestling over the past year or so. The number of audience members carrying signs has increased significantly, and the crowd continues to get increasingly creative with their hilarious and amusing messages. However, certain signs can be emotional and heart-touching, as was the case for Zelina Vega on the latest episode of Raw.

While making her entrance on the latest episode of Raw, the Latina superstar noticed a fan sign in the front row and got highly emotional almost immediately after noticing it. The sign honored Michael Trinidad (Vega’s father) and said that he had the best seats in the audience. Later with a post on X, the 33-year-old thanked the fan for reminder her that she always had her dad’s support.

Vega’s father was an unfortunate victim of the 9/11 attacks in 2001. He worked as a telecommunications accountant and called his wife to say goodbye when the attacks were happening. He passed away when the inaugural Queen of the Ring winner was only ten years old. The Rock has also paid tribute to him in the past and visited the memorial alongside his daughter.

After being overcome with emotion, Zelina Vega grabbed the sign and held it close to herself. Contrastingly, last week’s episode of the Red brand featured a hilarious sign that poked fun at Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan.

It has been a few weeks since Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Sonya DeVille came together to form the Pure Fusion Collective. The faction has let nothing get in their way, and their momentum continued on the latest episode of Raw.

Vega was taken out and injured by the faction a few weeks ago. The most recent episode of the red brand featured her going one-on-one against Shayna Baszler in an attempt to get back at the heel group. However, she was unsuccessful in getting her revenge. Unfortunately, she lost the match after the rest of the group ran some interference.

After the match, they continued to assault the Puerto Rican, leading to Lyra Valkyria coming out to help her. However, the numbers game was too great for her, and she was also taken out. Sonya DeVille then got on the mic, demanded some respect, and dared anyone to step up and challenge the Pure Fusion Collective.
