Cristiano Ronaldo has quite been the greatest Real Madrid player of all time with the hundreds of goals he has scored for the club. He has come up clutch in the moments that he was needed and stood tall when his team needed him. His greatest moments in his sporting career has come in the Los Blancos jersey and it could be said that Real Madrid will never see a legend like him.

Currently Ronaldo is a Juventus player and has a contract with them until 2022. News of a return might have to be taken with a pinch of salt as Real Madrid have Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland as priorities

Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from Real Madrid has still left a void in the club which hasn’t been filled even after 3 years. The father of former Real Madrid manager Julian Lopetgui went so far as to say that his son was robbed of more than 50 goals as Ronaldo was sold just before he came. A void of such stature cannot be filled unless you have an exceptional player in your hands.

Eden Hazard, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr. and Luka Jovic all tried to fill his void. None succeeded like the Portuguese superstar before him and that has been telling on Real Madrid’s exploits. They haven’t won the Champions League since Ronaldo left while they won 3 in a row when he was there.

When asked a question Zinedine Zidane didn’t deny the fact of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Real Madrid. He said “Rumours are true? Yes it could be”. This wasn’t a denial nor an acceptance, but since it was not said to quash the question, it can only be assumed that there is a possibility. While transfer journalists break news weeks before the club actually confirms it, some transfers are kept secret till the end.

This could very well be one of them and it will be a stunning conclusion to Ronaldo’s career as he keeps going strong.
