Another Record Breaking Swim for Caeleb Dressel in men’s 100m Butterfly; Kristof Milaf, Noe Ponti Pick Up Medals in Swimming at Tokyo Olympics

Another day, another record breaking swim for USA’s Caeleb Dressel as he clinches the gold medal in men’s 100m butterfly in swimming at Tokyo Olympics, breaking the world record in the process. Hungary’s Kristof Milak took silver, while Switzerland’s Noe Ponti stood third on the podium.
Caeleb Dressel was dominant from the very beginning, with the fastest reaction time. He was first to the 50m mark, with a time of 23.00, and was on record breaking pace. He finished in first place with a time of 49.45s, breaking his own world record from 2019.
Hungary’s Kristof Milaf took second place, as he was right behind Dressel the whole time. ROC’s Andrei Minakov was in joint second with Milaf, with a time of 23.65s, but faded away slowly as he would go on to finish 4th. Milaf maintained his pace, and he finished second with a time of 49.68s, taking the silver medal.
Switzerland’s Noe Ponti took home the bronze medal, and was just behind Kristof at the 50m split, and best out Minakov in the last 50m, finishing with a time of 50.74, taking third place.
