Anthony Joshua’s promoter and Matchroom Boxing CEO, Eddie Hearn has disclosed that Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury has been verbally agreed and the fight will probably take place in the month of May or June, next year. But, he also added that there were a few minor issues to be resolved.

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury has been all the hype ever since both the Brits shot to the limelight. But, the fight always kept eluding; and finally, it looks like the match-up between the two is surely the next blockbuster heavyweight fight. The news was first broken by Mike Coppinger – boxing insider for the Athletic.

Mike Coppinger tweeted, “Eddie Hearn says Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua is verbally agreed to and contracts are being drafted for the heavyweight championship fight in May/June. Hearn says only “minor issues to resolve” such as who walks last, the site, etc. This fight is going to happen next #FuryJoshua.”

Anthony Joshua is coming off a victory over Kubrat Pulev, against whom the Brit put on a marauding show, before knocking out the Bulgarian in the ninth round. Tyson Fury, on the other hand, hasn’t fought since demolishing Deontay Wilder to win WBC and vacant The Ring heavyweight titles. So, the AJ-Fury bout will be a title unification bout for the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, and what a cracker it is going to be!
