“Its out!”: Much awaited 2024 Paris Olympics schedule released

Every four years the world witnesses the greatness of some of the best athletes in the world in every field, at the Olympic Games. After much anticipation the schedule for the 2024 Paris Olympics has finally been released. The Paris Olympics are scheduled to be carried out efficiently and smoothly, uniting the world together once again.
The Games are scheduled to be held from 24th July to 11th August, in Paris, France. It will feature a whopping 329 events, which are 10 less than those at Tokyo. It will be a historic moment for France, which will host the Olympics once again after 100 years.
A break from tradition, handball will be the first event of the Games, beginning two days ahead of the opening ceremony. Preliminary soccer matches will also start on the Wednesday before the opening ceremony across the country, and the same can be said for Rugby.
New Sports to be introduced; medals up for grabs on the first day of the Paris Olympics
Surfing, which made its debut at the last Tokyo Olympics, has been given a full four days. It is scheduled to take place in Tahiti, keeping in mind the possible weather conditions. A new sport- breaking– is also scheduled to be introduced into the program, with the event taking place on August 9.
Medals are up for grabs from the day of the opening ceremony itself, in sports such as judo, fencing, road cycling, street skateboarding, swimming, diving, rugby and shooting. The middle weekend of the Olympics is set to see medals in tennis, table tennis, judo, fencing, athletics, archery, shooting, cycling, golf, equestrian, rowing, artistic gymnastics, badminton and swimming.
Interestingly the awarding of all team medals, coined as the “final bouquet” means that sports of hockey, handball, football, beach volleyball, volleyball, basketball and water polo will take place last, between 8 and 11 August.
The Opening Ceremony of the Games is scheduled to take place along the river Seine, allowing thousands of spectators to enjoy it for free. Organisers say that “the schedule reflects Paris 2024’s ambition to stage a spectacular and popular Olympic Games.”
