Alcaraz had a disappointing run in the previous indoor hardcourt event he played at the Paris Masters, as he suffered an opening-round exit at the hands of Britain’s Cameron Norrie. The Spaniard has never progressed beyond the semifinals of the ATP Finals, and last year, he failed to even go past the round-robin stage.

But Alcaraz has an indoor hardcourt title to his name, this year’s Rotterdam Open. He will be bidding to win his ninth title of the season.
Fritz was the runner-up last year. He has so far lifted the Stuttgart Open and the Eastbourne International, while at the Japan Open, he lost to Alcaraz in the final.
De Minaur featured in two finals: he lost the Rotterdam Open and clinched the Citi Open by beating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Musetti’s fate lay in the hands of Novak Djokovic, who withdrew from the event once again, only to see Musetti enter as his replacement.
Semifinals: Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz
Round robin: Group Bjorn Borg
Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime
Sinner played the finals of the season-ending event in the previous two years, losing in 2023 to Djokovic and winning last by beating Fritz. Before entering Turin, he clinched the Paris Masters, which helped him dethrone Alcaraz from the No.1 ranking.

Zverev has suffered ups and downs this season, winning only the Munich Open and losing three more finals, including the Australian Open to Sinner. It was Shelton whom Zverev defeated in Munich. The American also reached the Canadian Open final, only to wrap it up in his favor by beating Karen Khachanov, lifting the biggest title of his career.
Sinner clinched the Paris Masters by going past Auger-Aliassime. For the Canadian ace, it was his fifth final of the season. The Adelaide International, Open Sud de France, and European Open were the titles he has clinched this season.
Semifinals: Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev
Semifinal prediction:
- Carlos Alcaraz vs. Alexander Zverev
- Taylor Fritz vs. Jannik Sinner
Final
Sinner and Alcaraz have faced each other whenever they are in the same draw since the Italian Open (except the Paris Masters). The four-time Grand Slam champion trails 5-10 in the head-to-head matchups.

They have clashed only once in an indoor hardcourt event, in the 2021 Paris Masters, which Alcaraz won. But Sinner was the winner when they faced off in the previous two indoor hardcourt event: the Six Kings Slam exhibition finals in 2024 and this year. Because of Sinner’s performance on indoor hardcourt, he will be the favorite to win.
Final prediction: Jannik Sinner vs. Carlos Alcaraz
