His forehand and backhand are lethal, which allow him to control rallies and pressure opponents. Sinner was born on August 16, 2001, to Hanspeter and Siglinde Sinner in Innichen, Northern Italy.

Jannik Sinner won his first and only career Grand Slam tournament at the 2024 Australian Open. He won the 2019 Next Gen ATP Finals title and secured 15 tour-level titles to date in singles, including victories at prestigious tournaments such as the ATP Masters 1000 Miami, Rotterdam, and ATP Masters 1000 Canada, and 2024 Cincinnati Open among others.
He has reached the finals in four other singles tournaments including the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, where he was defeated by Novak Djokovic. In doubles, he has claimed one title at Atlanta in 2021, partnering with Reilly Opelka.
